I know exactly how you feel. It's what drove me to FR and I'd bet it did the same thing for you. Do you recall how a simple phone call from Sid Blumenthal would result in a dozen newspapers and cable networks parroting a version of the "truth" that would make George Orwell blush? This seems to me just the same. I don't think "alternate reality" is at all inaccurate. The problem is that you can't pretend away that rock your foot is about to hit even if you're a Democrat.

We need to be very concerned about the direction world events are taking. History seems to be repeating itself, exponentially. Not even the Nazis wanted to kill themselves to destroy the Jews. Adolph Hitler was not trying to bring about Armageddon - the current Iranian President is. Large parts of the world are willing to sit back and watch, some are even trying to help. Our own nation may be too fractured to prevent the unspeakable.
The results of the last election might confirm this.
