Burns Strider, one of the Democratic Partys leading strategists on winning over evangelicals and other values-driven voters, will join Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) as she prepares to launch her 2008 presidential campaign...
...Striders move to Clintons camp suggests that Democrats will woo so-called faith voters in the 2008 election. The plan is buoyed by the Democrats success in winning over religious voters in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania in the midterm elections.

Sounds like a type of foot infection.

The question is what faith?
Did you hear about the assassin they found on the White House lawn, waiting for Clinton to appear? They caught him with a Super Soaker and a gallon of holy water.
I always liked the cleverness of that joke, and if Hillary gets elected, I can use it again. I'm sure liberals don't tell the joke about Bush because they don't get the holy water thing.
So true... there do seem to be many 'faith' organizations that have nothing to do with Christianity...
Regards, Ivan
... and the fact that unlike the Clintons, Bush actually is a man of faith, and Holy water would not melt him as it would them!
Good one, Ivan!
Maybe Hillary could find Don Jones, her youth minister from the old days in Park Ridge.
Burns Strider,bullsh-t artist.
look soon for a picture of hildabeast, in her "Sunday best", heading off to church (and a photo op), clutching her bible prop, just like Bill used to do.
LMAO!
So-called?
I think "faith voters" will see through this in a heartbeat.
What arrogance.
Wasn't Hillary buddy buddy with some other "faith" guy in the 90s? Lerner or something like that...
I grew up in a suburb just next to Park Ridge. And my aunt and uncle lived there. :)
Not that this is on topic or anything. :)
If you don't understand faith, hiring somebody to fake it isn't going to help.
Burns Strider, Policy Director -- Burns, a native of Grenadda, Mississippi, comes to the Caucus office from Leader Pelosi's staff. Burns has eight years experience working on the Hill, and has worked closely with Clyburn over the past year in the Congressman's capacity as Chair of the Leader's Faith Working Group. Strider has worked in a freshman Member's office, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and in Leadership. He has a broad understanding and perspective of the Caucus and Congress. He will oversee the development of Democratic Caucus issues and policies.
Interesting.
So, the Democrats "won over" voters in some States...Why? Because Rahm and company withheld information concerning Foley for more than a year in order to spring this just before the elections. Looks as though it worked very well, they won the elections under very suspicious circumstances, in other words, they lied then and are lying now as to when they acquired the goods on Foley. Of course, nothing will be done about this by the spineless Republicans.
There are many who claim but few who are chosen. There are a lot of people who claim to be religious, who are nothing of the kind.
On the other hand, where are the people of "values" supposed to go. The GOP certainly did little to entice them. The handling of the war was pretty good, but the aftermath has gone quite badly, turning off very many people. There is also a large portion of the electorate that can be lead around by the tear ducts. (I recall one of the FoxNews anchors, of the serious news type, when seeing Bush Sr. break down when speaking of his family, say that you just have to love a man who is not afraid to cry.) While Bush Sr. (and Jr., for that matter)has moved me close to tears on many occasions, it wasn't love.
Sixty percent of Catholics, in Pennsylvania, voting for a Democrat did catch me a little bit by surprise, the abortion issue and all. I am not quite sure where they fall on the immigration issue, because people of "faith" of all stripes, their leadership anyway, seem to be in favor of amnesty.
Overall, however, most of any shift would fall into the lap of those who were unable to convince people to vote for them. NO D*** CONSISTENT, BELIEVABLE, BACKED BY ACTIONS, MESSAGE.
OH NO! He's a Mississippi State fan! I'm so very sorry.
THE Mississippi State University-Class of 1985
So faith is for sale eh?
To Mz Clinton - PUKE, PUKE PUKE
I see ACORN featured.
Ping in case you might want this for your Hillary link/s :)
Hillary Clinton can have a guy dress up like Jesus Christ for all I care. What I know for a fact is this woman will ALWAYS support abortion rights and gay marriage no matter how many "praise Jesus" guys she surrounds herself with.
Hillery is like a rattlesanke staring at a rabbit. Like the single-minded attention of a rattlesanke on its prey, Her only goal is getting elected to office as the first woman President and implementing her leftist agenda.
She will lie, twist, contort, chnage position, promise, weedle and cojole to achieve her objectives.
If selling her body or her daughter's in Times Square was the price of getting elected, she would do it without hesitation.
Hillery is a viper.
"Make me religious or I'll beat you."
On target. Pelosi's the same way..we'll have a warm up over the next two years to see what a Hillary Presidency might look like. If that doesn't frighten off the electorate, I don't know what will.
Hillery is playing it VERY cagy. I don't think she has sponsored much legislation personally in Congress for good reason.
She is playiing the role of moderate right now, trhe Bolshevik will come out AFTER she gets elected.
She is a true demon.
Almost time for Hillary to hit the Black Church circuit.
She will have the Holy Rollers, rolling down the aisles.
From reading a biography about her,(I don't remember which one), I consider him to be responsible for everything she has become, and it's not good.
Who are these "OBSERVERS"? What bias and shoddy writing. Quote a source, especially for something that MORE OBSERVERS are very skeptical of, with good reason.
From the number of police and firefighters in NYC who were only too happy to vote for hitlery, you cannot assume anything about any voters, anywhere.
When it comes to stupidity, never sell the American voter short.
Carolyn
Remember, "Religion" is a man made attempt to reach God on man's own terms. Perfect setup to reach those who think they're a part of the "Faith" community especially for someone so underhanded as Clinton.
Hillary, "Heineken? I thought that was Rolling Rock."
Those with faith, practice and live that faith...
Those without, hire "gurus" to help them "win over" people of faith....
If I may sum it up ...... Little (heartthrob) Don Jones, riding around town in his sweet and clean red convertible Corvette (probably smoking a joint on the side), took all these sweet little innocent, sheltered Methodist kids from the suburbs into the inner city..... and INFORMED these sheltered little adolescents what crappy, insensitive people they were because they had known little or nothing of the inner city and its problems before he hipped them out!!!! The opportunistic geek minister laid a heavy duty guilt trip on them, and Hillary sucked it up with a big spoon.
Then she went off the Wellesley and became the apesh*t socialist/Marxist, control freak that she is today.
Is that a good summation?
******Get ready........ she WILL BE the President.

Don't lose this post ..... it is the truth.
It should be fun watching The Former Twelfth Lady trying to convince voters that she believes in God.
In my experience, about 70-percent of faith voters are well-informed, serious citizens who take seriously the issues of life, liberty, faith, and freedom.... AND politics.
But about 30-percent, for whatever reason, are not that involved in news or politics. They simply view the two parties as "the same" -- smarmy and corrupt, and often believe the lib-media baloney about "rich, racist" republicans.
That's what they once said about Huey Long. And RFK.
Not with today's voters. Remember Bill Clinton carrying that Bible? The Clinton idea is to fool the people long enough to get their votes.
Thank you for your post. That's interesting--the percentage of informed people seems much higher among faith voters than in the general population.
And educated doesn't mean well-informed. There is a person in my family who has two Master's degrees... and purposely refuses to watch/read the news. She had no idea that there was a war in the Middle East last summer--I asked her three days after it started what she thought, and she said, "what's going on?"
She's a diehard Dem, btw.
