I could vote for this guy. He would still probably do things with the federal drug war that would piss me off, but he's a step in the right direction, a step in the conservative direction more than Bush was.

Indeed. The last thing we need to do at this point is move even further left.

Duncan Hunter looks like a good person. That doesn't mean he will win the primaries, although I'm sure he could beat any Democrat in the Presidential race.

We should tell the rest not to run and don't even bother to show up because the Conservatives already have our man, Duncan Hunter for President in 2008.
To: Antoninus
just an observation...............
Duncan Hunter on Budget & Economy
Supports balanced budget amendment & line item veto. (Sep 1994)
So since 1994, 12 years ago, mr. hunter has been part of the problem, no doubt voting time and time again to fund waste in the form of earmarks and increased "entitlements."
If this is not the case why is the 1994 vote the only one that applies?
Better than some? sure...................
acceptable?

Run ( for President 2008 ) Hunter, Run !.
I don't care what some ( even here on FR ) say that he is unelectable, ( The Kings reins is in God's hands ) his personality, honesty, and sincerity resonates with most ( fly over country ) Americans.
Besides ? America loves a underdog, and a LAW DEGREE IS A LAW DEGREE no matter what collage you go to.
HUNTER THE UNDERDOG, GO HUNTER GO !!!

You want Hunter to get noticed and visibility ?
Keep sending messages and emails to RUSH and HANNITY, they will give HUNTER the National exposure he needs.
Ok everyone, lets flood the phone lines, emails, for Rush's and Hannity's shows show Duncan Hunter will get the exposure he needs.
To: Prophet in the wilderness
The thing is, he
is electable - much moreso that Buchanan, moreso than Keyes or Tancredo. He has not only the strong moral fiber that a good leader needs, but the military experience. He is a very well-rounded candidate with years of political battle scars.
He'll be formally announcing tomorrow in South Carolina. Stay tuned to his site, and spread the word!

Let's get the word out to RUSH LIMBAUGH , SEAN HANNITY, and the rest of the Conservative talk shows who we know would support him.,,,,,, he needs the national exposure and he deserves it.
To: Antoninus
This guy has my vote in the primaries.
The party base should rally around this guy before McCain or Guliani.

Honestly, given their histories, McCain & Rudy shouldn't even be considered serious candidates. They are media-created entities and nothing more.

There's alot of time to do just that too.
Oh...and a word to any resident RNC employed lurkers, just in case your reading this...you want to see the cash flowing in in '07 and '08? Throw your support and resources on Hunter. There's alot of people (self included) that stopped financial support to the RNC over the past couple of years for various reasons. Now you know how to fix that.

I say,,, that they ( The GOP front runners ) stay home, because, if Duncan Hunter gets more support, and more people back him, then HE will be our man and standard bearer for 2008.
To: Hydroshock
Too bad. I'd like to see him as Mr. President with Ron Paul for VP maybe.
