Tony Snow Apologizes To David Gregory
fishbowlDC ^ | 12/14/06 | Patrick

From today's WH Press Briefing (emph. added):

DAVID GREGORY QUESTION: From a security point of view, does the president believe that it is the primary role of the U.S. military to be responsible for reducing the sectarian violence?

And if that's the case, or if it's not the case, how does that inform his decision about what the U.S. troop posture should be: heavier on combat than on training?

TONY SNOW: OK, before I get to that, I want to address something else. Because you and I had a conversation last week that got a whole lot of play in a lot of places, where I used the term "partisan" in describing one of your questions.

And I've thought a lot about that, and that I was wrong. So I want to apologize and tell you I'm sorry for it.

DAVID GREGORY: Thank you.

TONY SNOW: And the reason I do that is not only because it's the right thing, but because I want people in this room and also people who watch these to understand that the relations in this room are professional and collegial.

And if I expect you to do right by us, you have every right to expect that I'll do right by you.

So, at any event, I just want to say I'm sorry for that.

Forget it Tony, this man isn't nice and he has no soul. Maybe he is congenial away from the camera. So what does that tell you?

Mr. Gregory, I've thought a lot about this and I'm convinced that "partisan" was the wrong word to describe you, and anyway one word is not enough. I should have said "vicious reptilian left-wing MSM scumbag attack dog" and I would have made a good start."

There, fixed it..........

the right move to keep the attention on the material Tony put forward and not a personality and ideological conflict.

Bingo! Tony is a man....gregory is a thinly disguised high-heeled rabidly partisan DU boy.

Question: If you had to duel and could choose any type of pistol (it would only have one cartridge, of course), which would you choose?

Duelling pistols were always smooth bore muzzle loaders usually a matched set so there were no cartridges. Back when Abraham Lincoln was challeneged to a duel, the weapon he chose was "broad swords". Of course that weapon would have given Lincoln a tremendous advantage due to his 6'4" height and correspondingly long arms. The challenger being much shorter, decided to abandon his challenge to a duel.

Tony Snow is a better man than I could ever be.

I'd likely spit in Gregory's face, and then challenge him to a duel if he ever gave me the grief that he has given Tony.

Gregory is a professional a$$hole.

I don't think David Gregory has class.

I don't either, but I'll give odds he has a live in boyfriend.

Man bites dog.

Snow apologizing to Gregory is a lot like a wallet
theft victim apologizing to the thief for not having
more money in the wallet....JJ61

Tony's a class act, but I'd prefer a more confrontational White House (and press secretary).

Here was one of the gift the snowflakes gave him last year before we knew he had the gig at the WH. He invited a group of us to Fox studio in DC. What a gracious man, we chatted in his office for over an hour before he gave us a tour of the studio.

I embarrassed myself by mentioning in chat the next day that I saw Major Garrett in jean followed by a THUD.

Challenge him to a duel? I step off the podium, grab a folding chair, and hit the puke with the chair. I would not want to cut a knuckle or something else on my hand when I struck him and have to get rabies shots.

Actually you can still post comments to him. I don't know if he gets them but it can't hurt.

Love ya Tony, you are a class act.
