What part of "VOLUNTEER" does Damon not understand? The Bush twins have done more volunteer WORK than Matt Damon could ever comprehend.

Cowards like Damon should go to Canada so they can't live off of hard earned freedoms won by patriots.

Hey Damon, go volunteer to be a human shield if you feel so strongly. Effing clueless punk.

Myspace.com (which people laugingingly call "conservative" now that it is owned by Newscorp) ran a big fundraiser for Darfur (ironically they had Insane Clown Possee perform, ironic since at least one, if not more, Juggalo Clown Possee dumbasses have gone on murder sprees that were tracked by their friends' comments on Myspace).
ANYHOW, the liberal entertainment industry IS rallying behind doing "something" in Darfur. I'm up for fundraisers for one way tickets to serve as human shields for any entertainer who'll "stay until the job is done".

Thanks for reminding me of that quote.
Anyway, the reason Matt Damon won't volunteer is he'd have to give up sex with Ben Affleck.

Damon's BS is bigger than that. But it stands for something other than Brain Size.

A variant of the most despicable Liberal fallacy.
Either you have to have served or your offspring need to serve or else you are unable to speak truthfully about any military matter.
The obvious fact is you could be a Medal of Honor recipient you son could be recovering at Walter Reed any your daughter a medic in Iraq and you still could say stupid illogical and ridiculous things about a given military situation on the other hand you could be a draft dodger, heavily invested in defense related stocks whose kid is fighting with the Taliban and still make insightful wise truthful remarks about military matters

These liberals asshats are too stupid to realize that Sudan where Darfur is located has OIL! And that it would be in the USA's interest to invade. What are they going to do when that fact registers across their 1 neuron brains!?

His problem isn't that the military isn't representative of America or that politicians would vote differently if their childrens' lives were at stake on the battlefield (as opposed to being at stake back at home, hello JFKerry's "acceptable nusiance level of terrorism"). His problem is that there are not enough dissastified soldiers who the left can get to protest in the streets and say bad things about the mission on camera.
Drafting people into war will always turn up those who don't want to go. No one says that the Civil War was unjustified and hold up New York draft riots as proof that it was an unwarrented unpopular decision to go to war.

This little traitorous piss ant is what passes for a Hollywood leading man these days.
Think of the top 10 or so leading men in the 1940s compared to the Damons, Clooneys, Baldwins, Viggo Mortensens, Harrison Fords, etc. of today. Truly sickening.

This is so typical of the liberal "bizarro" world view. A volunteer military is "unfair". Forced service is "fair". So true: freedom = unfair, coercion = fair.
As long as they aren't being coerced, of course.
Socialist elitists -- high taxes, forced military service, and no guns for thee but not for me.

Yes, that's just f#$king brilliant. So they can go to Iraq, get captured by insurgents, who can blackmail us into doing whatever they want.
IMHO, he's probably just pissed that neither of them will sleep with him.

I also like him in movies.....but if he would just do a minimum thought, he would realize just how stupid suggesting that the children of ANY president entering a war zone really is. Suggesting that Chelsa go to Kosovo would have been equally stupid...and I didn't hear anyone suggest that during Clinton's "war" from 30000 ft.
I really think that the Hollwood people should take Laura Ingraham's advice to just "Shut up and Sing"...
