"You have to be unwavering in your convictions that you're doing something good"Good grief. She's reading what someone else wrote off a monitor and asking stupid questions a five year old could come up with. Where's the "something good" she thinks she's doing?

She sounds like an 8th grade school teacher trying to impress the children on their first day as to how nice she is.... Kids aren't dumb and neither are we. She stinks as both a teacher and news caster.

Never mind pain by number sets - maybe she could go on a second banana to Ivana Trump and hawk some of that jewelry Ivana makes out of old hubcaps and spray paint!

"Kate Couric?" Hmm. My bathroom pipes make that sound sometimes. Sort of a belch, often accompanied by an odor. When I hear it, I know it's time to break open a bottle of Clorox.

THE PRESS IS AN EVIL FOR WHICH THERE IS NO REMEDY Can't disagree more. The MSM naturally gravitate towards insipid and simple minded moral posturing, that's what they do. Katie is the shining sore on the leprous body of the MSM, now that Dan has surrendered the crown.
However, with a free press, enough of the truth seeps through to keep the worst abuses of power at bay. The staunchest opponents of a free press in this country today come not from the Right, but the Left, whether it be Hilary wanting to regulate the Internet or congressmen threatening the licenses of radio stations carrying Rush Limbaugh.
The alternative is Castro's Cuba or Soviet Russia.

"Some people out there are rooting for me to fail," Couric, 49, tells Esquire in its January issue. "You have to be unwavering in your convictions that you're doing something good, because there are a lot of circling vultures that will eat you alive." Oh, boo hoo! I'm happy to say that I'm one of those eeeeeeevil people who is wanting to see you fail. I want to see how high a POS will bounce when it hits the ground. LOL

Bad metaphor. Rarely eat anything alive.

The ran a lame promo for the CBS nightly news during the Patriots game yesterday. The last line went...
"More and more poeple are tuning into the CBS Nightly News" over a picture of saggy-jowled, not so perky Katie.
More and more? Compared to what? More than the number of people barking at the moon, standing in Cher's kitchen? It's meaningless drivel. Hard hitting news, feh.
To: STARWISE
I'll assume vultures would eat vultures.
