But it's dark and I can't turn the light on.

My wife is not much of a talker, but some of her friends can keep her on the phone for hours. All I hear is Uh-huh, mmmm, really ect. When she gets off the phone I ask what was that all about and she sums it up in about 30 seconds or less and I'm thinking why didn't the other gal do that?

What I have concluded is that "Talking" is some sort of energy transfer thing wherein the "Talker" is sucking the "Life Energy out of the "Talkie". That is why Talkers are always so energized and the talkies are so worn out.

"women have about 20,000 "communication events"

That USED TO be the case (sigh). I'm down to 2 a day, but I see you are still locquacious enough.

"the splashed up urine on the underside of the toilet seat"

Is that even physically possible?

We're dealing with the same problem...sort of. Just bought our dream home and realized that the master bath's toilet area is stained beyond repair with urine. On the wallpaper (!!!), the tile grout, etc. Bleach helped the grout, but not the wallpaper. It all has to come down. When we toured the house, we just didn't notice it. It's awful and I refuse to use that toilet - even at 3 in the morning. Funny, my husband isn't bothered by it at all.

When The Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride, He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside; But the shebear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail, For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.

"Did anyone ever think that maybe women communicate too darn much? "

The word "communication" implies the transmission of useful information, as distinct from a word generator on auto-pilot

Shoot, I don't worry about the seat. I just pee in the sink.

I've been in a few one and two star European hotels where the bathroom was down the hall or even on another floor. But there is always a sink in the room.

Just as individual personality traits have their advantages and disadvantages, I have aways thought there are advantages and disadvantages to the different ways men and women communicate, not that either one was superior or inferior.

You obviously have not seen the kind of toilets us guys have to deal with in bars, etc

From the article: "I don't know, my attitude is that if women can leave a toilet seat down, men can leave it up."

Exactly. I had this conversation with my wife (who agrees with me, by the way) a long time ago. I told her that my attitude was that the toilet seat works both ways, up and down. Learn to work the technology.

(As an aside, we always leave not only the seat down, but the lid as well due to having had cats who love to watch their cat toys float in the water.)

You must be hanging around with the wrong kind of musicians. I am also a musician and I can't think of a single one of my musician friends who is a gossip, or even talks too much.

Maybe it has to do with what style of music they play?

The answer: BECAUSE THEY ARE NEVER FINISHED.

You must be hanging around with the wrong kind of musicians.

Hanging around? I don't hang around.

I am a professional musician and I perform on a regular basis with some of the finest musicians in the country. I have been doing so for thirty years or so.

Your experience does not have a thing to do with me nor does it negate what I know to be true about some of the musicians I associate with, out of necessity, on professional engagements.

My personal feelings do not determine with whom or where I perform.

There was a city I lived in at one time where almost all of the musicians, to a man, would regularly engage in negative repartee about musical colleagues.

Maybe it has to do with what style of music they play?

Oh, I see. If I play a certain kind of music then I would begin to talk about people when they weren't present. That must be it. Why didn't I think of that?

(I don't mean to be abusive, but do you realize how absolutely stupid that comment was?)
