Jennings, as quoted in NEA Today, says the "safe schools" initiative is "not about how you feel about gay people, it’s about making sure all of our students achieve.”

If the NEA wants students to "achieve" then they need to start educating and quit pushing their leftist agenda.

Does there curriculum mention that homosexuality was treated as a mental disorder until politcal pressure in 1974?

Is it discussed that homosexuality can be tied to early childhood development disorders? Molestation?

Do they tell the stories of people who have been treated by psychiatrists and lived their lives out as happily heterosexual?

How do you explain trendy lesbians?

If only one side of a debate is presented it is not education it is indoctrination and propaganda.

All good questions, and obviously no to all. Elementary school teachers have no business telling young children about sex of any kind. Period. One has to wonder with all this sexual awareness being taught so young, why so many kids have trouble concentrating Just an added not, it is a fact the the highest numbers per school, of homosexuals are not students, they are the teachers.

Shame is a useful tool (remember the dunce cap) and liberals all hard at work to remove it. We've let them make great strides. If they can defeat the social stigma that exist against homosexuals then you'll see the number of homosexuals rise. This has already started. It also applies to every other undesirable trait that a member of society could have. Ignorance, laziness, lust, etc. You can look at the Bible for what fruits are undesirable in a person if you want to know which ones the liberals are trying to bring about.

If we let shame die as a societal tool we'll get what we deserve - and it won't be good.

Very True Jay. They even turn their owns sins against us. ie: shame, they are big on calling that out at rallies. Thia article doesn't mention that, but it is used by the schools too, using our own kids against us, by telling them what they are taught is wrong and shameful.

Interesting to note also, no mention in any of these teachings in school about the serious and even deadly repercussions of the behavior.

I thought about high school teaching. Then I considered the political agenda and the many lazy teachers I knew. I know that quite a few public school teachers really care and know their stuff, but the system is cancerous. I decided to avoid high school teaching and applied instead to a place associated with the military.

When I looked over my graduating class from high school, studying the old reunion books, I saw that many started out as teachers and then left.

I had wonderful, patriotic, conservative public school teachers. My mother, sister, and wife have taught in public school.

Any discussion about sex in elementary school should be considered child abuse, that is not an extremist position.

Children and SEX are not supposed to mix, when did this obviously beneficial and reasonable social contract become destroyed?

Right. But it doesn't need to be mentioned to be true. For the wages of sin is death. That won't change. Sin on, homosexuals, but you'll get your due (they die much younger than the rest of us).

My niece told me they spent a WEEK on Martin Luther King, I asked how long on George Washington, she said very little.
