If it is now clear that Berger lied to investigators about how he came to take the documents (based on admissions of hiding the documents under a construction trailer), can new charges be brought against him so that the full penalty of law can be applied to him?
Or, must he still be protected so he can continue to work in a future Rodham administration?

This should be front page, leading story, not back of the blog. The treatment of this story is as much of a crime as Berger's actions.
Wasn't ol' Sandy a member of "the most ethical administration in history"??
Some of the documents missing since Berger's visits to the Archives were originals, notes the inspector general. E-mails Berger reviewed could not be reconstructed. But the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock has copies it could release.
The former president and his library have refused access, leaving this sad saga with an all too familiar end: one more top aide covering for a former president whose aides famously covered for him, and that former president keeping his legacy from the scrutiny it's due.
_____
Shouldn't Hillary have to answer for this - as to why on earth her husband and his library refuse access to secure copies of stolen documents? This part is new to me and it's making me angry that it's not a big deal in the media.
