Very intense tropical cyclone Bondo

Very intense tropical cyclone Bondo struck Madagascar at about 06:00 GMT on 24 December. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 12.7 S, 48.0 E. Bondo brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 212 km/h (132 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.

Now they're naming cyclones after automobile products. I hear next year... all of our hurricanes will be named after Republican presidents.
