REP. KING ZINGS ALIEN 'AMNESTY'
NY Post ^ | December 27, 2006 | GEOFF EARLE

Posted on 12/27/2006 8:58:23 AM PST by presidio9

Retooled immigration legislation that could get a vote in Congress by spring amounts to "amnesty" for millions of undocumented workers, Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.) fumed yesterday.

"I just have no support for this at all," King told The Post. "This is clearly amnesty."

King was responding to word that a bipartisan bill is being prepared for consideration by the new incoming Congress.

According to a Senate Democratic aide, Sens. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) have already opened "preliminary" discussions with two House members over the revised legislation. Negotiators are considering scrapping a complicated proposal that would require an estimated 7 million illegal immigrants now living in the United States to jump across the border before returning to apply to become citizens.

That provision would also mean that illegals in the country for less than two years would not be guaranteed a slot in a guest-worker program.

Congress also may nix a border fence that many conservatives say is needed to stop the flow of illegals.

Legislation to build the fence passed Congress and signed by President Bush this year. But it hasn't been fully funded, and can be amended by a new law.

Most Democrats oppose the fence, as does Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, who prefers a "virtual" fence in some areas.

But conservative Republican opponents of easing the path to citizenship for illegals lost major clout in the elections. "The fact that the Democrats are controlling Congress will definitely make it easier" to pass, said King.

But Democrats in conservative districts won't be "enthused" about supporting a bill that could be a political liability, he said. "The dynamics have certainly changed for the better!" crowed the Senate Democratic aide.

Critics said the original Senate bill is unworkable because of its provisions based on how long illegal

Many illegals don't have the documentation to establish which provisions would apply to them.

Well, there is a whole industry which produces forged documents to accomodate this constituency.

Hopefully we can do that without Boxer Rebellion II, but you never can tell eh!

Here's the trick ~ the Dems think they're going to get a big batch of Mexicans who will be so indebted to them they'll vote Dem in 6 years (after getting citizenship).

Problem is I can acquire an almost unlimited number of Chinese and Indian nationals (and a nearly unlimited number of Indonesians, Pakistanis or Nigerians) at far less cost and outfit them with all the documentation they need faster than the domestic forgery industry can provide for the Mexicans.

In the end, the Mexicans will still be uneducated illegal aliens without documentation of presence, and we Republicans will have 10 to 20 million new hard-core Republican voters, fully educated ~ most with a Masters degree or better.

The Dems are doomed I tell you, doomed!!!

Agents in Mumbai are working hard as I speak.

Amnesty is not the solution to the problem. Once McCain and his DemocRATS give the illegal aliens a piece of paper advising them that they are now an "americano de los estado unidos" (a la the Wizard of Oz), we are going to need 20 million more illegal aliens to do the jobs they are no longer going to want to do.

Congressman King is my congressman. He's not from the Five Town area. His district is from western Suffolk County to mid Nassau County on the south shore. He was head of the Homeland Security committee in Congress.

Dems and Muslims are targeting him. He won reelection, but they made it harder. Nassau County is leaning Dem now with the only judges who got in had the "Working Family" party endorsement as a 2nd line.

Peter King has my support. He called out the Muslims after 9/11 once he found out the leaders of the biggest Mosque in Nassau County was supporting Jihad. They've teamed with the Dems ever since to get him.

Then, by my estimate, over 80% of those now in government are a danger to this country and should be told, quite forcefully, to cease and desist.

We need have King and others state the true numbers which are probably closer to 25 million and pound the table that they will all whistle and wave the rest of their families in. The people need to know this little tiny 11 million amnesty is really 80 million new friends over the next 10 years.

Maybe not quite 80%, but possibly more than 50%. Just look how they are destroying this country.

We are facing an invasion, terrorists are setting up cells, our borders need protection, and what do Senators McCain and Kennedy want? They want amnesty for illegal aliens.

Many politicians push for special perks for them. US citizen do not get the free medical treatment given to illegal aliens, permission to break laws that we do not like, or reduced college tuition.

This country does not need more people, especially not those who show contempt for our laws. Illegal aliens are using up limited resources, commit horrific crimes, etc.

Believe me, these criminals will not enrich our culture - many even refuse to learn the language - nor will they improve the gene pool.

Why the desire to keep illegal aliens and encourage more to come? Those who support them are traitors or bribed, hate this country, want to turn us into a Third World country, and/or mental ill.

This is the sentence that belongs in the "nutshell"

The reality is, there are people in our government who believe all countries should be on equal footing, what they hate is how others perceive us. Some of them even think that is good for our country and feel patriotic for selling us out.

Beware Rhodes Scholars in particular

There will be no border fence and and those that believe in an effective border without a wall(virtual border) are dreaming.

The end result is that each and every city will form it's own border defenses, small and large alike.

Some cities will be worth living in others won't.

The one's worth living in will not rent to illegals or hire them and law enforcement will take the two week course which allows them to kick the illegals out of town or jail them.

The others will be invaded.

Not having a fence along the border to stop more illegals from entering our country is even worse than amnesty.

As the article indicated, the fence hasn't been funded completely, and a new amendment by a new lib Dem Congress can nix the legislation for a fence.

Peter King is a RINO jerk. He is right on a handful of issues like abortion and illegal immigration, but a stopped clock is always right twice a day. Peter King generally votes the "party line" because he has to, but will happily side with the Dems whenever his vote is not needed. For example, his record on guns and government spending is extremely poor. He adores government handouts and even votes with the NAACP about 40% of the time.

Peter King is a media whore and loves whoever is "popular" at the time. When Clinton had sky-high approval ratings, Peter King came on TV and defended Slick Willie tooth-and-nail, even gloating he would find "35 to 40" Republicans to stop impeachment (the actual number of RINOs who sided with him turned out to be four) When Bush had sky-high approval ratings, Pete King came on TV and defended HIM tooth-and-nail. Once Bush's "popularity" began to fault, King quickly reversed course and stabbed Bush in the back ("They'll be sorry they did this to New York."), attacking the Bush administration for "corruption" and promising to launch a congressional Probe into "orgies" at the CIA ( BTW, there have been NO allegations that ANYONE at the CIA ever engaged in "orgies.") if he didn't get additional pork barrel spending for NYC.

Peter King is unabashedly a long-time terrorist sympathizer... as long as the terrorists are Irish instead of Muslim. A terrorist is still a terrorist.

He is a condescending and arrogant jerk who should have been taken out in the primary over six years ago. We'd do a lot better in that district if we had a Republican who wasn't so obnoxious and shallow. Peter King has proven the only person he is loyal to is Peter King.

The RATs did takeover all the local offices in the area in 2006, but this is not indicative that the area now "leans Democrat" because the GOP their butts whupped EVERYWHERE in 2006, even in some "safe" Republican areas. Otherwise, King's district is a swing area that is marginally Republican. Dems win 2/3rds of New York State as a whole, but in King's region, Hilderbeast lost both Nassau and Suffolk to Rick Lazio. Bush essentially tied Kerry, 49%-49% in the area, and George Pataki won both Nassau and Suffolk in all three of his Governor's races, and in 2006, Jeanine Pirro won in Suffolk in her A.G. race while getting her butt kicked in the rest of the state.

If the GOP ran a decent, likeable candidate with crossover appeal, they could rid themselves of RINO scumbag Peter King and keep this district in GOP hands for the foreseeable future. An example to look at is when backstabbing RINO leach Amo Houghton was succeeded by the generally faithfully conservative Randy Kuhl in New York's 29th. Kuhl is very low key and quietly conservative. He won handily and even survived the Dem onslaught of 2006. Clearly we did not "need" backstabbing Houghton to "hold the seat for the GOP"

South Jersey has always considered itself separate and that idea probably stems from colonial history when New Jersey was divided for almost 30 years as two distinct colonies of the crown (1674 and 1702). Perth Amboy (Perth Town) was the capital of East Jersey and Burlington was capital of West Jersey.

South Jersey is relatively rural compared to the north. It's politics and people are different. It's views are more aligned with PA and the states south of the Bay. During the Civil War, there was a vocal group of South Jersey residents that sided with the Confederates (aka Copperheads) and there was active debate of secession during that period.

As for Long Island's idea of secession, Islanders (with the exception of the Hamptons) have always been working class conservative that have been enraged by New Yorkers taking, blocking, and hogging everything. NYC basically blocks access to the island with excessive tolls while the capital, Albany, taxes her to death for social programs given to other parts of the state. Like South Jersey, Long Island's views are more aligned with places other than the city. Long Island is still rural compared to the City and it takes a number of hours to drive the length (days if the expressway known as the L.I.E. or more lovingly termed as The LIE, is snarled with holiday traffic).

Interestingly, many parts of both South Jersey and Long Island are pine barrens. And both rely on the sea for economic livelihood.

That is a very short history and probably not 100% current because I have been away for over 20 years.
