"In preparation for Satan's final deception, the mark of the beast?"

It couldn't possibly be a simple ascension of a new currency like has occurred hundreds of times in various regions of the world since the first coin was stuck in Lydia 2500+ years ago?

Biblical hyperbole placemark.

I'm European and I think a single currency is beneficial to an economy as deeply integrated as the European one. But the importance of the single currency is exaggerated among many of its advocates.

Countries like The UK, Denmark and Sweden (Where I live) are presently doing fine without having introduced the Euro.

On the other hand, the poor growth performance of many of the countries which DID introduce the Euro, like France, Germany and Italy is NOT due to the Euro itself, as some critics of the Euro tend to believe. A counterexample to that claim would be the exceptionally strong economical development of Finland since they joined the Euro (recently, Finnish economy grew by 6.7% on quarterly basis - that's really impressive IMO!).

Will the Euro help the EU establish world economical hegemony?

Yes and no. The demand for euros does strengthen the EU's position as the world's biggest economy.

(Rank Country GDP millions of USD
— World 44,454,843
— European Union 13,502,800
1 United States 12,455,825
2 Japan 4,567,441
3 Germany 2,791,737
4 People's Republic of China 2,234,133 2
5 United Kingdom 2,229,472
6 France 2,126,719
7 Italy 1,765,537
8 Canada 1,132,436
9 Spain 1,126,565
10 Brazil 795,666)

This is especially the case as the US economy is facing a slowdown while general European economic growth finally is beginning to reach decent levels (even though the US has enjoyed a much better economical development than many of the European countries the last 10-12 years or so).

But it would be a mistake to assume that the present strength of the Euro, per se, is bound to weaken the US economy. The Euro might have dethroned the dollar from the position as THE world currency, but that doesn't necessarily mean it has inflicted any damage on the US economy.

A strong Euro and a weak dollar will, among other, things result in:

- The US gaining an advantage over the EU in terms of PRODUCTION COSTS.

- The US becoming very appealing to Europeans as a tourist destination, leading for instance to even more people from Northern Europe going to Florida/California/Hawaii instead of the Mediterranean Sea/Northern Africa/The Canary Islands for holiday. Another aspect is of course that of many Americans finding a trip to Europe too costly (and going somewhere else instead). Tourism is today considered to be the largest "industry" on Earth. The US could very well become a winner in this area of global competition.

Another aspect of the whole affair is that there, by all means, exists a point where the "strength" of the Euro can become a burden to both Europeans and Americans.

If European made goods like cars become too expensive to American customers it will naturally not benefit Europe and many Americans will have to buy inferior products from South Korea etc.

Hopefully, the global market will take care of these things by itself.

In any case, I think all Westeners should hope for a strong future economical development of both the US and Europe. As far as I'm concerned, being a good European doesn't mean opposing the US and wishing to "defeat" it in the area of global economy. The Western World is ONE and we should all seek to cooperate more, despite certain differences in our respective cultures. It's up to us to safeguard our own freedom and the open society. That ought to be the prime cause for all civilized, responsible and educated Westeners.

I agree with each of your points, with one proviso.

I think it will prove very difficult from the perspective of practical electoral politics to keep individual national fiscal policy coordinated with a unified monetary policy - and that will result in unsustainable disparaties among Eurozone nations. Voters aren't going to allow their politicians to remain indifferent is the disparities become too great, as I think they ultimately must.

I believe that it is only a matter of time before one or another Euro member state pulls out. This should not be a matter of concern for either the Euro or the withdrawing nation, but it would allow the nation to coordinate its monetary and fiscal policies better. This might be advantageous for countries like Italy, Greece and Spain.

just wait until the Amero replaces the dollar

Wait? Why wait? You can change your dollars for ameros right now. Either flag down the nearest black helicopter, or for larger transactions visit the Zionist Occupation Government service center in the basement of your local synagogue.

Remember the amero is now the ONLY currency accepted for you alien abduction insurance payments.
