Some interesting notes include: MSM annointed nominee McCain no higher than 35% in any of the 4 states
Romney no higher than 10% in any state
Giuliani at 28% in SC
Newt doing fairly well
Newt would be my choice but the MSM demonized him for so long (they have their obvious reasons) that he has acquired a lot of negatives.
Newt Gingrich/Ben Stein in '08
I just am not able to see a better pair. If anyone knows a better group, now is the time we need to be looking hard.
I am sick of the 2008 presidential campaign already, and it is only December, 2006. I will be totally numb by election day, 2008!
I would love to see (and hear) Ben Stein in a press conference....especially if he uses that voice he used in "Ferris Beuller's Day Off".
At LEAST there are others on the lists now, not just the DBM's top three.
Anybody but McNut.
Alot of people like John McCain....I don't.
I don't like the way he was involved in the Keating Five and found a hole to slime out of the mess he was in, is that why he's the media darling of all times?
And then there is the Campaign Finance Reform with him and Finegold....this opened the hole for Soros to pour money into the rat patrol pockets and increased the power of lobbyists.
McCain is all about McCain, he isn't interested in America, he could care less about the safety of America, he could care less about you and me.
Sure he went out on the campaign trail with President Bush in 04, but didn't you wonder if maybe he was a 'rat in sheep's clothing' to let Kerry know what Bush had planned? After all, it took McCain a week before he gave Kerry an answer as to whether he would be his VP....surely he wasn't concerned about America at that time, he was trying to figure out a way he could present this to the American people so they would swallow it, and when that didn't work, he said no, and that's the only reason....McCain for McCain.
I don't know why the people of Arizona vote him in all the time, guess he's bringing home the 'bacon' is the only reason I can see...I haven't seen him do any good for anything else but McCain.
Vote for him if thats what you want, another RINO, but I won't....there's to many of them in the Republican party and its time we get them out....
And now he's teaming up with Drunk kennedy on an immigration bill, why doesn't he just become a RAT instead of a RINO????
The 'Mayor' or the 'Senator' will not get my vote, something to think about with Newt, a very smart man he is.
Newt is going very well.
And, yeah, he's got some problems - some history.
But I think that he's the right man, in the right place, at the right time. There's no leader out there who I'd trust more to see clearly what's needed in the War, and do it.
For those who've studied Newt for a long time, you'll recall his aspirations vis a vis Western Civilization. Perhaps this is his chance.
After all, a decade before he became Prime Minister, Churchill likewise was driven to the sidelines in virtual disgrace.

I like it!!
The amazing thing about this poll is Rudy has absolutely NO presence in Iowa. Yet look at the numbers he pulled in.
There is a high stakes poker game being played out here. The object of the game is to HIRE as many experience staffers as possible.
Romney is leading that game with McCain a close second. The rest of theh pack is so far behind it is barely measurable.
Which is why I find the Rudy numbers to be so stunning. He hasn't a single foot soldier on the ground.
These polls aren't at all worthless. They tell us who's got a chance and who doesn't.
Basically, alone in the low single digits at this point isn't going to win the nomination - or even make it beyond Iowa and New Hampshire. Brownback, Huckabee, Hagel, Thompson, Hunter - they're all over before they've even begun.
Unless some other major figure enters the race, it's between McCain, Giuliani, Gingrich, and Romney.
And, I think at least, that it's Gingrich and Romney who have the most growth potential.
I like Newt and I'm surprised to see him so high in these polls, considering the "baggage" everyone keeps talking about. No more baggage than Shrillery brings to the table, in my book. As you say, he's very intelligent.
I'd much rather vote for him than Rudy or McCain.
Proud to support that duo! Go Newt/Stein!
