And some folks ought to have a real scare put on them - like the Immigration officer that let this turkey go the other times he has been apprehended.
Perhaps a visit from an officer to impress upon him that (by my count) five officers have either died or been shot at because of his "criminal negligence" in letting this guy loose might help.
Personally, someone ought to pistol whip the guy.

We were following this incident all last week on FR, from the time the two Long Beach policemen were shot on 12/22. We received news this past Wednesday that someone who may have been the suspect in that shooting had been shot in Santa Ana. Then, on Thursday, we received positive confirmation from L.A. County DA Steve Cooley that the man they killed in Santa Ana, Oscar Gallegos, was indeed the one who shot the two Long Beach police officers.
Between the Wednesday shooting and the Thursday announcement, the coroner and ballistics had to complete their investigations. Good police work.
The LB policemen remain hospitalized in stable condition.

We really need a policy that any returning felons get instant prison terms (preferably some kind of hard labor)
and any guilty of violent crimes get an instant death penalty (not the feeble decades long farce type either).
Simply ejecting them over the border is the same thing as releasing them. They can come back to commit additional crimes.

We all probably understand that, but does anyone think illegal immigration will be solved with the congress we have now? They are not on the side of anyone but securing their own power for the next 30+ years.
I don't know what Bush was waiting for, but we have little hope now. The democrats and liberals got one thing now that they hoped for out of the election.
Within the next 2 years the cycle will start to create and fully legalize the votes of between 5-15 million new democrat voters. There is little "we" can do to reverse the mess now.
The time for citizens to take back our country was 2 1/2 weeks ago in the election. Does anyone think Bush will NOT sign a near full amnesty bill now?

You know when I watched the original reporting of the officers being shot, it was one of those rare moments when I was trying to stomach watching the local MSM news (socal). Well after watching their coverage of this story, I figured that the shooter was probably an illegal. Then I got upset because the MSM did not even mention his citizenship or immigration status even though they knew who he was. Turned off the MSM after that story.
So how many crimes being reported on the nightly MSM news are being committed by illegals ? How are Americans ever going to know the true impact of open third world borders policies if the MSM hardly ever identifies illegal immigrant criminals ?
