It's going to get worse. Concentrated effort to divide and make Republicans look radical and out of control, so in slips the "moderate" Democrat.
I was watching some of the McConnell hearings and had a moment of utter delight.
Senator Feinstein first was unable to say "National Intelligence Estimate" and had to give up and just say "NIE."
Then she asked McConnell if he had read the NIE coming out TOMORROW. He said no, he had not. She was absolutely gobsmacked, simply could not believe it and suggested he read it forthwith.
Keep in mind, it is impermissible in the extreme to begin taking actions that ASSUME one has been or will be confirmed. Either Diane is unaware of this or she just assumed no one actually pays any attention to this rule.
She made a complete fool of herself. I feel warm and fuzzy.

McCain, Lieberman and Graham....beginning to implement new plan in Iraq..cannot support the troops and not the mission....best prospect for suceeding in Iraq is to offer a resolution that is common sense, constructive and unifying.....cut to senate floor

The Senate added an 8.3 billion small-business tax package to the bill yesterday.
He House version contains no tax provisions.
They were doing a split screen presser while the Senate was in Quorum call.
It sounded like they were not endorsing Warners resolution but submitting one of their own.
