Its always amazing how these burglars who rob people's homes always have a prior record for doing the same thing.

It seems they are arrested: pay for a smart lawyer with funds from prior thefts and are back out before police get the paperwork done. Judges give them light sentences as lawyers who are friends with the judges make deals. Then they go out and rob people's homes again..

Few small communities dont know who the thieves in their communities are, who the drug dealers are, but slick lawyers and co-operative judges combine to keep these people on the street until they end up harming someone.
Then its too late.

Sometimes these people meet with bad fortune when caught by a homeowner who is tired of the rip-offs and takes the law into his own hands. Hopefully the homeowner isnt the one who ends up prosecuted.

One thing is a fact if you expect the law to protect you from burglars ,you are betting on the wrong horse..
99 times out of a hundred should you call the law it wil take them upwards of half an hour to get there. Most times the act is done before you notice it. The only protection a homeowner has is the homeowner themselves and their arms. Police simply are too few to patrol everywhere .

Really - save the taxpayers some money for the trial and having to feed the scum, plus medical and dental care, sheesh! Shoot 'em, throw 'em in a pauper's grave and be done with it!

I knew a person in south-central Los Angeles who said that thieves come back because they figure that you have bought new stuff to replace the stuff that they took the first time.

If they knew the owner was out of town and there was too much loot to make one haul. If the owner came back to find stuff stacked up to be carried out, he would guess that the ,oving company would return.

I would have pulled the trigger as soon as he walked through the door.I wouldn't have used the choke hold until after I put a big hole in his chest. The homeowner is one cool customer.

Damn. It's a shame. My grandfather had a produce store in McKinleyville many years ago. I'm sure I wouldn't recognize the place now.

actually it's more of a safety precaution. what if you lay in wait to confront a burglar and he turns out to be a 250 pound monster just out of the joint...with friends. and you just never know what is going to happen when guns are brought into play. i'd rather my loved ones be safe and have their stuff gone than get hurt over a dvd player. personally, i carry at all times and god help anyone who comes into my house uninvited.

Lots of home construction in McKinleyville relative to the rest of the county. When did you leave...

I haven't been up that way since '75 or so. We lived in the Bay Area. We'd visit every summer , ( from the late 50's - '75 ).

A better ending would have been with the perp's brains splattered on the front porch, but I guess cleanup is a biatch. God bless the armed individual.
