Guiliani would be a great wartime president, but he is not a conservative. And since the media won't cover for him the way they did for BJ Klintoon, this could be a disaster.

In a couple months - at most - Rudy will formally withdraw.

He's got more skeletons in his closet than Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

Hanover is a loose cannon. She was a newsbabe in south Florida back in the early 80s, I think. She was pretty unhinged even back then...lots of rumors about her off-camera life. A hottie, for sure, but something of a head case, too....

He cheated on her. That alone is enough where I would never vote for him.

Donna Hanover has so much baggage herself, I doubt she would expose herself now. Hopefully, she has moved on. Almost all sympathy in NY was with Rudy through all this. She was an extremely disliked and unpopular figure. With the way she conducted herself, hardly anyone blamed Rudy.

Isn't it a sad state when we consider someone's marital history more important than their leadership and intellectual ability?

I like Rudy. But, that is a major liability. Our three front runners all have liabilities that may or may not eliminate them as strong nominees. Except for McCain I hope the other two Romney and Rudy can overcome. The point is that we need not have party leaders clearing the field for anyone. we need to see how they weather these issues and test them before we choose one. That is the problem with the Dem's in '04. They took one who looked god to them on paper and he proved to be weak.

What a rag this London Times is.

Here's the headline:

Giuliani fears ex-wife will hit presidential bid

I challenge anyone to find ANYTHING in that article that supports that headline.

I want no part of him and it has nothing to do with his private life.

While I would never vote for Rudy in a primary, if it came down to him vs. the dems, I would of course have to vote for him. I wouldn't like it, but I would do it.

He did earn big points when he told that Saudi prince to stick his check where the sun don't shine, though.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Thursday the city would not accept a $10 million donation for disaster relief from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal after the prince suggested U.S. policies in the Middle East contributed to the September 11 attacks.

Anyone who cares about conservative or even middle-of-road values will disregard Giulliani's former wife because she was in the disgusting Broadway show, Vagina Monologues. Any shred of credibility she may have is completely overwhelmed by this disgusting lapse in judgment. No wonder Rudy wanted out.

The problem with Ex-Wives is they remember EVERYTHING. Every tittle and jot. They have photographic memories. Shakespeare was right about women scorned.

Giuliani's problem is he was so flagrant about it...He publically humiliated his wife. Infidelity is one thing. Flagrant in your face ,public infidelity is another.
If Hannover wants to keep Giuliani on the tabloid front pages I'm sure she has a quiver full.

I guess Rudy is DOA for the Presidental campaign.

Republicans do not tolerate candidates with that kind of personal flaw.

And MSM wouldn't ignore it either.

I don't care how well he scores in the national polls. He's unelectable within the party. We owe him something for the great job he did on 9-11. I believe that fate had destined him to be the Mayor that day and that was one of the reasons why the timing of his health issues made it impossible to run against Hillary the first time.

However, he should have run against Hillary for her in '06 or perhaps take on Schumer. The Senate is the highest he is going to be able to achieve unless he's willing to accept a VP seat.

It's a good thing Rudy didn't rape & bite the lip of a woman, otherwise he'd be a shoo-in for the Presidency.

Giuliani’s advisers fear that she could be a loose cannon in the 2008 campaign.

Nothing a little "New Yorkancide" might fix, eh Rudy......?

This is the phrase that s Rudy:

"Giuliani’s record in fighting crime and terrorism has placed him at the top of several polls for the 2008 Republican nomination, edging out Senator John McCain in popular support. But the party base may be turned off by his support for abortion, immigration, gun control and gay rights (although not gay marriage). It is their votes that he needs to secure the nomination."

I'm sorry, but all of the other stuff is simply very hilariously gruesome and sort of a "Desperate Housewivish" comes to Gracie Mansion.

she even wanted child support for the golden retriever..

Now that is just plain funny.
