Howie Carr live thread. NorthEast Radio Watch reports that "WKBK (1290 Keene NH) shuffled its talk lineup...dropping Howie Carr's afternoon show." Drat--maybe those listeners can try to pick up WCRN 830 Worcester or another affiliate?
Put me on this ping list, Please?
Eagerly awaiting 3:00 ET..............
I just tried out a free streaming player, Screamer:
They offer a whole bunch of music & talk stations and
some unique stations not on broadcast radio...WRKO is
offered as is KGO in San Francisco which runs Gene Burns
at 10 pm our time.
Brian Maloney/Radio Equalizer has launched a site (found this out via a blog on Herald site) called
He says that over the years WRKO has been a landmark talk station and now is
essential to counter "single party rule" but he decries the firing of the
news dept. and the possible hiring of Tom Finneran
"Instead of taking on corruption, he'll be there to defend it, as a convicted felon himself."
I can pick up 830 AM in NH and am farther east than Keene... 830 AM has Peter Blute on in the morning; he was on WRKO years ago; interesting guy...
The piece on Finneran has been posted: Sleazy Talk Deal Means Felon Avoids Punishment
There's been mention Finneran would have a co-host and I wouldn't be surprised if "Bluto" were to be him. They could work out a deal with WCRN to pry him away
Howie talking about graffitti "artists"...did you see the bit on FR last week about the 13 yr old who was killed by a train
while spraying graffitti?
Mitt Romney on during 5 pm hour. Max delayed till tomorrow
poll so far

Kerry Healey is returning to Harvard. The former Massachusetts lieutenant governor said yesterday she will join the Center for Public Leadership at Harvards John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Im really looking forward to the opportunity to talk about and learn more about leadership issues, Healey said while making fund-raising calls for former Gov. Mitt Romneys presidential run.
Healey, who ran unsuccessfully for governor, said she is still exploring other corporate and philanthropic opportunities. Healey graduated from Harvard in 1982.
