Kerry Prepares Another White House Run

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) has maintained a decidedly low profile following his self-described botched joke in the run-up to the 2006 midterm elections. Many observers concluded that Kerry's silence meant he had given up his dream of becoming the first Democrat since Adlai Stevenson to be renominated by his party four years after losing a presidential race.
Wrong. Kerry has recently begun to bolster his Senate and campaign staff in preparation for what some Kerry insiders insist is a likely run for president. Kerry has signed on Erik Smith to serve as a senior adviser to his Senate campaign committee and Vince Morris to be communications director in his Senate office.
Smith, who runs Blue Engine Message & Media, served as national press secretary for Dick Gephardt's 2004 presidential bid and previously was communications director in Gephardt's leadership office. He also served a stint as communications director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Morris comes to the Kerry camp after a stint as communications director for former Washington, D.C., mayor Anthony Williams. Prior to his work for Williams, Morris was a reporter for the New York Post and Washington Times. Morris started officially on Monday.
Asked whether his decision to join Kerry signaled that the senator would be running again for president in 2008, Smith demurred. "Whatever he chooses to do, he is going to have a tremendous impact on public policy," said Smith. "Whether on Iraq or domestic policy, Sen. Kerry bring tremendous political assets to the table and the party benefits when he takes a leadership role."

HA HA! I've been waiting for this purely for the entertainment value. Watching Kerry lumber into the primaries with Hillary and Obama will be too funny.

OK, the guy is dumb. On this there can be no doubt. But not even J. F'ing Kerry is THAT dumb. The only reason he is still even considering this is because his wife wants to be the first lady which would help justify her having married him in the first place. Sometimes, when you marry huge money, you are expected to perform. He married a lot of money.
No amount of ketchup will help this french fry.

From: the NBC propaganda show transcriptsMR. RUSSERT: Many people who've been criticizing you have said: Senator, if you would just do one thing and that is sign Form 180, which would allow historians and journalists complete access to all your military records. Thus far, you have gotten the records, released them through your campaign. They say you should not be the filter. Sign Form 180 and let the historians...
SEN. KERRY: I'd be happy to put the records out. We put all the records out that I had been sent by the military. Then at the last moment, they sent some more stuff, which had some things that weren't even relevant to the record. So when we get--I'm going to sit down with them and make sure that they are clear and I am clear as to what is in the record and what isn't in the record and we'll put it out. I have no problem with that.
MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180?
SEN. KERRY: But everything, Tim...
MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180?
SEN. KERRY: Yes, I will. But everything that we put in it, Tim--everything we put in--I mean, everything that was out was a full documentation of all of the medical records, all of the fitness reports. And I'd call on those who have challenged me, let's see their records. I want to see the records of each of those people who have put up a challenge, because some of them have some serious questions in them, and it hasn't been appropriate...
MR. RUSSERT: So they should sign Form 180s for themselves as well?
SEN. KERRY: You bet.

On a different thread, Nov. 19, I wrotet the following:
Guess it will take Theresa setting him straight. But then, she's along for the ride, so why would she? Someone somewhere is telling them what they want to hear, and they wanna believe it: "Yes, you're a contender, you could lead this country; yes, Ms. Heinz-Ketchup-Kerry, you would make a wonderful Queen of the USA, er, I mean, first lady."
And they eat it up. Clueless fools.

It was fun to watch DU in the days after his remarks on the troops in Iraq being stupid. There were some defenders, but there was a sizable minority of moonbats who just simply wish he'd go away.
Since his big mouth didn't hurt them in the November elections, he just might get a pass on the incident from Rat voters. My dream scenario is that no Rat has enough votes wrapped up by their convention in the summer of '08. It's plausible that they will all have from five to twenty percent of the delegates by that point.
