Already our soldiers and allies are being abandoned by Congress. taxes will go up. More liberal judges. Partial birth abortions. I guess you failed to notice where voter percentages, across gender and ethnicity, shifted to the Dems.
The GOP failed to give a good reason to the average swing voter as to why they should stay in power. They stressed how important it was they maintained control - after showing they mostly saw power as a way to get the lion's share of earmarks and pork. That resonated with a lot of voters.
So if you want to blame someone, blame the pork-eating pubbies. Don't blame the voters. Blaming the voters is like a rapist blaming the victim for dressing in a way that "deserved" rape.
Yes, but at least they'll "send a message." (Or was it "teach a lesson"?? So many bogus excuses for temper tantrums, I lose track...)

It was the pathetic, do-nothing, corrupt GOP congress that had NO effective party leadership or discipline, one that abandoned the "conservative" principles they supposedly in lieu of raking in pork and K Street favors that cost us the election.

Next time (if there ever IS a next time) that the GOP is in control, I hope they remember the very hard lesson they learned--don't abandon your principles, don't shamelessly cower and curry favor from the liberal media that reviles you, fight the Dems like they're the enemy, not you Girl Scout buddy making s'mores with you at the campfire, and STAND FOR SOMETHING besides pork, corruption and feckless leadership.
