From Boston Herald: Boston city councillor Jimmy Kelly passed away. A few weeks back he was due to call into Howie's
show during the 6 pm hour but something must have come up...

Iconic and often controversial longtime South Boston City Councilor James M. “Jimmy” Kelly died of cancer at his home this morning and is being remembered today as a “fierce” advocate for his blue collar neighborhood.
Despite waging an exhausting battle against brain cancer, Kelly still managed to attend several council meetings in 2006. While his rabid advocacy for South Boston was well-known, he was equally vigilant for the South End and Chinatown, which he also represented.

He also mentioned another incident about two months ago when he said he approached Walters at Le Cirque restaurant in New York and asked how working with O'Donnell was going. Walters, he said, rolled her eyes and replied, "Donald, do you have to ruin my meal?"
