Reagan Man, huh?

I'd bet you didn't know there was a time when Reagan was pro-abortion?

>>>>>>I'd bet you didn't know there was a time when Reagan was pro-abortion?

Reagan never supported abortion on demand.

Just for the record.

The bill Ronald Reagan signed into law while Governor of California, was for the exceptions of rape, incest and to save the health/life of the mother. That accounts for roughly 5% of all abortions performed. It was the position Reagan held post Roe V Wade and for the rest of his public life. Its also the same position that PresBush holds TODAY. Reagan never supported abortion on demand or partial birth abortion. Reagan became America's first pro-life President, post Roe V Wade. Read Reagan's essay: "Abortion and the Conscience of a Nation", and get informed.

1967

California Therapeutic Abortion Act enacted. Allows a physicians' committee to approve abortions in cases where there is substantial risk that continuance of the pregnancy would gravely impair the physical or mental health of the woman, and in cases of rape and incest. Requires all abortions to be performed in accredited hospitals. Prohibits abortions after 20 weeks gestation. Also, causes Penal Code sections on abortion to be amended to exempt abortions which are in compliance with this act.

I wouldn't have a problem voting for Romney....I might even end up being enthusiastic about it. ... but, I'll let it simmer for a while before I plant myself too firmly in his corner,

You are nothing more than a shill for the liberals.

You post 24/7 articles detrimental to the GOP and conservatives.

You should be embarassed, but judging from some of the tripe you post, I know you don't have it in you.

Not only that. He also had been a staunch New Deal Democrat and a labor union organizer.

[Not to mention that during his first gubernatorial term, he had several gays on his staff. And he was a friend of Rock Hudson, the famous Hollywood gay.]

. . . the former CEO and outgoing Governor of Massachusetts is emerging as the Barack Obama of the GOP. And the analogy is apt. He has the resonant voice, the good looks, the statesman-like bearing . . .

One big difference is that Romney has worked for a living, become a self-made multimillionaire and actually pulled the most liberal state in the nation halfway out of the toilet, though it seems determined to get right back in.

Meanwhile, Obama's career consists of being a "community activist", being handed a professorship and gliding from one elective office to the other.

While Duncan Hunter remains my first choice of the declared candidates, I'm willing to give Romney a look if only to slow the McCain trainwreck the party bosses seem headed for.

Ya gotta love it. They defend the liberal Romney by attacking Ronald Reagan. Pretty desperate for so early in the war.

To justify his socialist brainchild, Romney uses the argument that it is no different from requiring people to carry car insurance.

Well Romney has a point. This is requiring people to have a certain type of insurance - health in this case. Not saying I am for forcing people to have health insurance but there is a big difference between this and Ted Kennedy's proposals where government pays for the health care. So lumping Romney in there with Kennedy is overkill.

Based on the sloppy agenda driven writing I completely dismiss this entire article as garbage. I'll get my information from other sources.

But Romney shares another commonality with Obama: He's a liberal in his party masquerading as something more palatable. Yes, sugar and spice and dealing the deck twice, that's what little politicians are made of.

LOL...

LOL I posted this opposition article on Romney. Followed by a pro-Romney article. This one is getting more play. So far at least.

Mandatory health insurance cannot be compared to car insurance! You have car insurance because you drive. What, you have to have health insurance because you live?

I find the whole concept absurd and invasive and unconstitutional.

I agree with what another poster wrote here on FR a while ago..."the Northeast is where political parties go to die." At this stage of the game, nominating anyone from the NE is suicide. How many times have Dims run a liberal (esp. from the NE) like this and lost?

Great article.

Embarrassed? He's proud whenever he can humiliate Reagan, conservatives or Republicans. I contend that he's a fifth columnist, purposely being as disruptive as possible. He is not Reagan Man, he's Reagan Embarrassment!

Romney opposed the Boy Scouts' policy prohibiting homosexuals from serving as scoutmasters and prevented the organization from participating publicly in the 2002 Olympics.

OMG, please tell me this isn't true.

I'm feeling a bit ill now. I don't understand why someone would want homos around young boys.

The guy hands out fliers at gay events and opposes legislation to keep gay men from leading boys in the Boy Scouts.

I will investigate further, but this is abominable.
