Ok, last time I tried this very few were interested, perhaps we can do a better job this time.
MoveOn.org is conducting nationwide "protests" against the Bush troop surge tomorrow, Thursday the 11th.
One of these will be across from the Lafayette, CA BART station, at a hillside where a bunch of leftists have placed hundreds of crosses as a protest against the war in Iraq.
Would like to corresond with anyone who wants to counter protest.
I can be responded to at
news@pipelinenews.org
Not sure what else to include except the observation that the left can always turn dozens out for these things but many of us continue to sit on their asses and watch their country be taken from them.
I'm going to be there even if I am the only one.
bump because it's right!
Yes, imagining no liberals is fine, getting in their faces and making them accountable would certainly help.
Let's kick some commie ass...
Hmm. My family lived in Lafayette for a few years while my dad was getting his doctorate at Cal. Lots of evangelical Christians - I'd be surprised to learn it's turned into some sort of hotbed of leftists.
Bump, and my Hubbie is very glad he is a Retired BART police officer. He's way over the leftie nut jobs.
Well, it has, just like most of the bay area....
Not sure when you lived there but its like Berkely now, except they drive better cars.
This hillside I am referring to is directly across from the BART train station. It's sickening display of how far the left will go to destroy. In any other setting the lefties would be petitioning the city council to have such obvious references to Christianity removed from public display, but since it's being used to bash America, well pardner it's just fine.
I'm trying to coordinate this behind the scene, am in contact with some ppl who will hopefully help.
I'd much rather cover this than be a participant.
Bump.
Maybe I didn't place this item correctly, if a site admin is watching is this in the correct spot on the site, I would think that there would be more interest here in CA on a thread of this type.
thanks
Ha, I first I thought I read Lafayette, LA.
I've seen one leftist protest my entire life in Louisiana. Some kids decided to protest a Halliburton facility in Lake Charles, I was there because I was a subcontractor working for them.
Anyway, being kids and leftists, apparently they didn't realize that the WORST time and place to protest is on a Friday afternoon in front of the office where grizzled men go to pick up their paychecks.
...I think two of the kids had to be taken to the hospitol after that.
This message brought to you by FREEPNORAD. If anyone wants on or off this ping list, say so here or by freepmail.
Thanks for the ping, Mr. Silverback, and for your post, johnqueuepublic. If it wasn't a four hour drive up there, my husband and I would join you in your counter-protest.
I know first hand how discouraging it is not to be able to get others interested and motivated to take a stand. Sometimes we barely manage to get four or five people to turn out for our once a month Support our Troops/counter-protest rallies in Fresno ...and, it's generally the same people who show up. We are often outnumbered by the leftist malcontents on the opposing corner. But, that doesn't stop those of us who are passionate in supporting our military and their mission.
I'm going to be there even if I am the only one.
It's one thing to take a stand for your beliefs, it is quite another to stand alone against a crowd. God bless you for this.
Well I just guess this proves the lefties got us beat as far as activism is concerned, sometimes I think that our committment to "doing the right thing" doesn't extend bast the edge of the couch.
As far as standing alone, hell these freaks don't bother me, they're all intellectualoids, morons who think they are smarter than everyone else.
I just kills me however to see those white crosses being discraced, used as mere political props, by people who hate Christianity.
Sadly, I think you are right. I don't know the answer to motivating a passive conservative base. How much worse does it have to get?
A bump and a ping.
I wish I could be there but having to drive from Fresno makes it impossible at this time.
Give 'em hell.
Ditto to that!!
Bumping to spread the word.
Hope we can find another patriot who will join Johnqueuepublic tomorrow.
