Why I Never Should Have Had Sandy Berger on 'The Big Story'
foxnews.com ^ | 12/21/06 | John Gibson

As of yesterday I have to say Campbell is right.

The final report from the inspector general of the National Archives shows Berger didn't just stuff the odd paper in his socks, he ran a dead-drop operation to get certain documents out of the National Archives before they were seen by investigators of the 9/11 Commission. The Archives has copies of everything he was caught taking, but they do not know if he stole documents in earlier visits.

Limbaugh pointed out the huge discrepancy in prosecutions. The DOJ lands on some people like a ton of bricks for minor things, and looks the other way when major felonies are committed.

I don't understand why the govt didn't do a 'Watergate burglar' on Berger and tell him to spill the beans or face twenty years in Leavenworth. Oh, wait, we're talking Republican administration, aren't we? Never mind.

[Berger's effort to cover up anti-terrorism activities in the Clinton administration strongly suggests the Clinton crowd had something to hide, something that was very embarrassing, at the very least.]

Conservatives suspected this from day one. But we were vilified in the media, as per usual, no thanks to the Bush Admin who obviously entered into a back room deal to sweep this (along with our national security) under the carpet. At this point, I don't know who to hold more responsible, Clinton or Bush.

I love John Gibson--I love his show then carpool to school with his radio show.

This is the most important question that can be asked of Hillary Clinton--what are they hiding? And 8 more years of them would just mean hiding that much more .

That is the million dollar question, and some would pay much more than that to not let the answer out.

We know what he did take: documents on the millennium terror fears and airport security. But what was taken before he was spotted thieving and kept under surveillance by Archives officials?

When the National Archives staff realized that Sandy Berger was stealing classified documents from the National Archives, do you know who was the first person they called?

The National Archives staff called Bruce Lindsey. (Keep in mind that this was in 2004 - - nearly four years after the Clinton Administration left town!)

Now, what are the chances Berger got away with permanently erasing some history?

The Sandy Berger stolen documents and subsequent cover-up are the biggest national security story of the past century.

Whatever he stole, destroyed, covered up or delivered to the Clintons is THE KEY to 9-11.

If Bush does not investigate this to the fullest extent possible, then he will always be to blame for the attacks on our country.

I would give a hell of a lot to find out the real truth.
