Actually, the doing of it wasn't so long. But I first tried to do it in Adobe Premiere--which wouldn't load the sound files. So I had to learn the Windows Movie Maker program, but it wouldn't let me save it to my website. So I had to set up an account with mydeo.com--and, cutting a long story short, here we are.
Dear Mr. Ver ity,
I can see where you might think I was dissin the Pentagon, but cowards refer to the ones leaking info on the Haditha case...so I will accept your apology..kiss kiss.
PS..Please don't have them kick my Punk arse into Wed...I need it til Friday. Is that you Ashton? Hey everyone...I GOT PUNKED!
I have a harder time understanding your problem with me. A friend of mine did psy-ops in Vietnam. He dropped "your families miss you" leaflets on Viet Cong areas. That's what I had in mind.
As I said to tomcorn in post 130, someone who has been called "a senior defense official" has been leaking details of this case since spring. The latest leak to the Washington Post including photographs of dead Iraqis in Haditha that even the Post wouldn't print.
There's nothing complex, convoluted, or even particularly tinfoil hat about my point. It just seems logical that a way to get plea deals is to make the accused feel the heat. And one way to do that is to leak to the press. Make the families and the accused feel that fighting the charges is hopeless.
Wouldn't you do the same thing if you were on the prosecution side?
"People leak information for mundane reasons..often the sheer thrill of it. Just to demonstrate they are players."
Does Murtha count as 2? I guess it's real fun to destroy a serviceman's life along with his family's. Sit on the sidelines and watch the fun. Sounds like a thrill to me...
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROTFLMAO!
I just got done ranting about how the dems don't like anyone to 'think'.
That is not what I said. What I did say is ...respecting your arguments.
There is a whole lot of difference between the two statements. Agreed?
I have a son who served 2 tours with the 101st Airborne in Iraq and is now at HQDA. I do not think you would want to insult him - even errantly.
OK. Next Saturday then. LMAO
Sticks and stones...people are chipping away again. We have better things to accomplish with our time. Have a lovely day!
I know you know I am new, but I don't know what LMAO is...Love Murtha and Obama? Really..I don't know.
Sorry...I didn't read about your son...I take back the LMAO
But then I know the lady you were talking to. It was hard for me not to see your comment as an attack on her. That's why I said what I said.
Thanks Red...now we are all on the same side.
Screen names can be deceptive. Of course, in your case I know you are not a canine [unless you have developed reasoning skills and can type. ;-)]
Keep the Faith!
Yes, Faith will be kept. I'm reminded of FDR's prayer after D-Day when he told the nation:
O Lord, give us faith.
Give us faith in thee;
Faith in our sons;
Faith in each other;
Faith in our united crusade.
i am not too familiar with this case (since im not even american) other than what some eurolibs have told me- is it a good rule of thumb to believe the complete opposite of the headlines?
As you might expect, since the hearings commenced, and the media's "evidence" began to be tested, the international media dropped the story like a hot potato. It is now an almost entirely local story, covered only in San Diego (home to Camp Pendleton).
For instance, the LCpl. Justin Sharratt hearing concluded with this headline in the local newspaper, the North County Times: Hearing officer: Evidence does not support murder case. That is one headline you can trust. And it is a headline that will never make it around the world.
