ANKARA, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- U.S. F-16 jet-fighters arrived Thursday in Incirlik Air base in southern Turkish city of Adana after, the first time in three years.

According to Local Cihan News Agency, at least 16 F-16 jets joined by early warning system AWACS airplane, as well as tanker airplanes landed here at Incirlik coming from an American base in Germany.

An official at the U.S. embassy in Ankara announced that the planes arrived here for purpose of conducting exercises with the Turkish military in line with agreements between the two states.

Incirlik base was used as a northern recon base for American forces during the Iraqi war in 2003 and since then the base served as a logistic backup for the U.S. army.

Namik Tan, spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also confirmed that the U.S. planes arrived for exercises' purposes. (end) tk.

Iran - starting with a 2000lb JDAM through Ahmadenijad's bedroom window. Then on to wherever the Iran government meets, take the whole building out during a meeting.

A single 500 lb bomb through Ghaddafi's bedroom window brought him to heel.

There's somethin' happening here,
What it is ain't exactly clear.
There's a man with a gun over there,
Tellin' me I gotta beware.
I think it's time we stop,
Hey, what's that sound,
Everybody look what's going down.

This President likes it fast and loose with planned events. Like the handover of gov't. in Iraq. No waiting for the scheduled and widely publicized date, and thereby giving the creeps a perfect blueprint for disrupting the handover.

These guys will once again be presented with the done deed, when it is no longer something that they can interrupt or or challenge.

Can't wait. 'W' is the man!

An official at the U.S. embassy in Ankara announced that the planes arrived here for purpose of conducting exercises with the Turkish military in line with agreements between the two states.

Ayup, the greatest exercise of all time is about to begin! We have other planes exercising in eastern Iraq. They are jogging around the track, stretching their wings and tales and lumbering up! FNC, a few days ago, said that B2s bombed the insurgents east of Baghdad, however, I saw B1s on the accompanying video. I don't know if FOX was confused or let the cat out of the bag.

Everything is adding up to have faith in this President who isn't going to leave office before pulverizing Iran's nukes and military infrastructure. I truly believe it. I think it's coming sooner than the RATS expect.

Biden started already squealing: You cant attack Iran without Congress approval!

Biden, the Bidet, keep ringing the alarm and alerting the Iranian enemy. Get our kids killed and captured, that's the spirit! Oh sh!t we may make it past the RATS and win the whole war with Iran, in Iraq, and with global terrorists! Wow, that's unacceptable, isn't it RATTY traitors?

You RAT bastards will get no say, the 60-day CIC powers before you can control anything. You and your MSM fifth column will lose and that, by definition is an AMERICAN win!

What you are looking at is the gradual buildup of forces ahead of military action against Iran.

* By early Feb there will be two carrier groups operating in the area, not part of regular rotation, the Stennis deployed early so that where would be a 2 month overlap, meaning there will be 2 carrier groups within range of Iran until the end of March. [including 8 guided missile destroyers and 2 attack submarines].

* Patriot missile battalion(s) moved into the region.

* F-16's being sent to Turkey.

* AWACS aircraft being moved back into the region, this is crucial since there hasn't been an AWACS presence in the region since the Iraq war - and any potentional military activity will require this.

* 20,000+ extra troops being moved into Iraq may free up certain elements that may be used in an attack on Iran.

* USS Boxer strike group is in the region.

* USS Bataan strike group left port recently to sail to the region.

And this is only the open source information, no doubt there is a lot more happening that we don't know about.

If any military action against Iran/Syria is being planned, or if the US is positioning to prepare for Iran's responce of an Israeli attack, then everything points to this happening between early Feb and late March

Iran is in play.

Finally.

Actually, taking care of Iran would be part of a rational, comprehensive plan to insure success in Iraq. The sectarian violence is fueled by someone, somewhere. Best part is that Iran is so darn close to lots of existing U.S. military bases and personnel - Iraq and Afghanistan. That's a two front war for Iran.

And we were on immediate deployment status in Germany...already had rations, ammo, etc palletized and ready to go. Quite unusual for mechanized infantry in that day. When they had us update wills and punched out extra dog tags for us we knew they weren't playing around.

Yes, those were exciting days!

I contend that Iran/Syria were in the plan from day one of the Iraq invasion.

Hey Maq,

I agree with your assessment.

* 20,000+ extra troops being moved into Iraq may free up certain elements that may be used in an attack on Iran.

Probably enough to capture Iran's western oil fields in tact.

...everything points to this happening between early Feb and late March

Yup, late winter/early spring........exactly.

perhaps, but I don't think this is the "big one" against iran. I think we would attack targets along the borders used as assembly areas for men and munitions coming into iraq. in other words, I don't think this is going to be any kind of all out assault against iran, their military, their nuclear program, their ability to close the persian gulf, etc.
