TEHRAN, Jan.13 (ISNA)-A little before leaving Tehran for the three Latin American countries, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Ecuador, the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad explained his goals in these trips in a meeting with domestic reporters.
Ahmadinejad first of all noted the friendly Iran-Venezuela relationships and commented that both countries had many chances of enhancing their ties in various fields.
"About 120 Iran-Venezuela memorandums of understanding have been issued, out of which a 100 has already been signed since last year," he said.
"Presently both countries have important joint projects to follow in the fields of industry and oil and we hope that we are able to enhance our mutual ties more than ever," he added.
He also referred to his future trip to Nicaragua and expressed hope for enhancement of mutual ties with this country as well.
Also while noting his up coming trip to Ecuador; Ahmadinejad remarked that this country was one of the most significant ones in Latin America. He also referred to the various changes that had occurred in their political system.
"The present high ranking officials of Ecuador have stances and views closer to ours. Therefore, we think it is necessary to enhance our ties with this country," he went on to say.
President Ahmadinejad is to leave Caracas on Sunday for a one day trip to Nicaragua.
The trip is simultaneous with the new presidential turn of Daniel Ortega. High ranking officials on both sides will discuss mutual ties enhancement.
Ahmadinejad is then estimated to leave Managua for Quito in order to participate in the presidential ceremony of new Ecuadorian president.
He is also to meet the Bolivian president, Evo Morales who will also be present at the ceremony.

Hoping to spread goodwill, no doubt.

I wonder if he stopped by the old Standard Oil Building on Avenua Universidad in Caracas while he was there. They used to have an office in Tehran, too.
I'm only up to the 200's. It is a pretty sizable piece of research Edwin Black has done. Every piece of information is hard sourced.
The main focus is on IBM; but the research intertwines with I.G. Farben, Standard Oil, El Husseini and unbelievably more.
I never realized how little I knew about WW2 and how relevant it is to today.

Oh yes. Long ago, back around when it was released.
How much power can he and Hugo project if the world oil price goes into a very steep decline?
Five days ago. I'm thinking, where'd that post come from?
Of course, you know I was being sarcastic, right?
Since you asked, maybe they can ask their people to drink the excess oil? Spread the word, oil is loaded with protein (from the dinosaurs, of course).
