Fallaci was on the Left - albeit a liberal who despised totalitarianism of any political stripe - whereas Coulter is on the Right. Also, having read The Rage and the Pride I think Coulter is a far better wordsmith, at least in English. (For all I know, La Fallaci reads brilliantly in Italian.)
This is a good column. Is it older? I vaguely recollect reading something like it in the fall.
Oh. I've never read Fallacis' books; only aware of her name via WWII history when she and her father went up against the Italian fascists.
I guess my assumption was based on the anti-idiotarian Fallaci Award started by LGF (Little Green Footballs)...
