This was just brought to my attention and I need help in understanding what exactly this Bill/Amendment is about.
I tried calling over to the House of Representatives .. but they said there was no one there to help explain the details of this bill/amendment.
They suggested I go to Thomas.gov .. but I already did that.
Can any FReepers out there help direct me in the right direction and find a better way to locate what this is?

Make us pay her legal bills? Grant her immunity from prosecution?
Whoa! What is this about? I'd try and help but am working on something else and then leaving in an hour or so.
Will check back later to see what kind of insanity this is.
That's what it sounds like .. but I can't find the wording of whatever this is
Wow, I can't even start to speculate about what this could mean.
No word yet on whether Ms. Plame is considered to be the patient, or the desired result.
This bill is in the first stage of the legislative process where the bill is considered in committee and may undergo significant changes in markup sessions. The bill has been referred to the following committees: House Intelligence
What do you want to bet it's to help pay her legal bills. And maybe to pay for a secretary to answer her fan mail. And a bodyguard to protect her from harm from those nasty conservatives.
Officially "relieving" her of duty?
Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (D-NY) and 12 co-sponsors have introduced H.R. 501, the "Fairness and Accountability in Broadcasting Act" modeled on "The Fairness Doctrine" which was rescinded in 1987. H. R. 501
Call Inslee's office and ask for the text.
this one was introduced yesteday
Mark, could you please take a look at this?
Get a look at this!
Legal bill help. Just watch. Maybe a bodyguard too.
INTRODUCTION OF THE VALERIE PLAME WILSON COMPENSATION ACT -- (Extensions of Remarks - January 16, 2007)
---SPEECH OF HON. JAY INSLEE
Despite Mrs. Plame Wilson's 20 years of federal service, she does not meet the minimum age requirement to receive her retirement annuity. She has been left without a career.
I am introducing legislation to allow Mrs. Plame Wilson to qualify for her annuity, as one who has served her country for two decades, and waive the age requirement for collecting it.
Hope that helps
I don't know, Mo1, but I'm sure interested in what you've found. I'll bump the thread and check in later to see what's been learned. BTTT
