Michael Vick is embroiled in a scandal after airline screeners have seized a water bottle the superstar quarterback tried to get through security checkpoints. One problem, it wasn't just a water bottle. There was a "concealed compartment" in the bottle that contained a small amount of pot. Vick was said to be, "reluctant to turn over his water bottle during the screening process" but eventually did. TSA officials are aware of a new tactic by drug handlers, creating a hidden compartment in Aquafina bottles like Vick had so they investigated further.

I read this on ESPN yesterday and at that time LE was still awaiting test results.

I was hoping that it wasn't true, Vick is fun to watch.

The League will likely move quickly on this, first thing that will happen is Michael will be drug tested, if he tests positive and it's his first offense, he will get a four game suspension and have to attend a substance abuse program. If he tests negative but is subsequently convicted he still faces a suspension.

What a dummy! The guy makes millions a year and he hasn't figured out (like every other celebrity or millionaire) that you pay one of your homies to carry the stash when traveling? Shows a lack of committment to a team that is supporting you and paying you handsomely. It's funny but when Vick came out a few years ago I was telling people that another QB who came out that year would end up being the better NFL QB. I was laughed at, especially during Vick's first two years. Now, though, I am the one laughing after being proven right. That other QB's name? Drew Brees.

Howdy again SirG, As a long time user, I'd have to disagree with you on that. There is definitely a "minor" physical addiction component. IF you smoke pot every day and stop, I guarantee you will be cranky,listless, and lose your appetite (and have trouble sleeping). Nothing major - nothing even close to a Morphine, Nicotine, or, worst of all, Alchohol withdrawl - but there is something there. It goes away anywhere from 3-7 days - and then you'll be less moody, have more energy, and your dreams will become much more vivid.

Now, I agree totally about "the need for rehab" - that's about the biggest joke in the world - even for folks who REALLY DO need it - it's just another revenue raiser for the state.
