If poor Al had a brain in his head, he'd at least schedule these global warming speeches and stuff for, say, July in Phoenix instead of January in Boston or December in New York. Of course, sitting home with Tipper smoking weed all day may have clouded his judgement.

One day I was joking with one of my Revenue Accountants about computerized weather forecasts. His father was a meteorologist assigned to the DFW Airport weather station.

I mentioned that when I was a kid there were no weather satellites, weather radars and computers. The weatherman would check his barometer, look at the sky, check his thermoeter and make his prediction for the next 24 hours, and most times he was wrong.

Now, Today, a weatherman can use satellite photos/sensors, check the doppler radar and make 7 day forecasts. Ain't it amazing I announced.

Todays weatherman can be wrong 7 days in advance.

He told his father this anecdote and told me that this observation was posted on the bulletin board at the weather station.

"I'm published!"

with internet on-demand forecasts and radar, I have given up The Weather Channel.

You are not the only person who has done that.

Cute? To be frank, I think she looks a little like Nancy Pelosi.

... And third, journalists distort by rigid adherence to the construct of balanced coverage.

What's this chap smoking, Perfesser? ''Rigid adherence'', is it? Journalists' (sic) only rigid adherences are twofold: getting a paycheck, and writing what they're told in aid of the former adherence.

To be fair, there are some number of lunatics in their number who actually do believe the fantasies that they spew, and who consequently spew their bilge all the more enthusiastically.

What a great job. Be wrong 7 days a week or 100% of the time and still get paid well.

Liberals say "Why fight enemies like nuclear armed Islamofacism, when the serious battle is with Mr. Blue Sky, and his cohort, the evil Dr. Sunshine."

Don't forget, Al Gore invented the internet and would have been POTUS if he would have carried his own state.

Gotta love Tennessee

It looks more and more like everybody wants to cash in on a huge financial global warming windfall. Yes, lots of money just waiting to be stolen here. Private and public grants, new taxes, increased taxes, favorable legislations, status, prominence, and unlimited appearances on PBS. Can it get any better than that?
