Let's Go to the Video: When and Where Did Hillary Tape 'I'm In' Announcement?
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/20/2007 7:31:25 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

If the timing came as a bit of surprise, nothing could have been less unexpected than Hillary's "I'm In" announcement of today.

But have a look at the video of her announcement. Rather than her "let's chat" rap, please focus on the background. Look out the door. Presumably the announcement was shot in one of Hillary's homes: Chappaqua or Georgetown. Now I know it's been a mild winter, but even so, surely the leaves are gone from the trees and bushes in either spot. And check out the yellow spot in the bushes. At first I thought it was just a warm dapple of sunshine. But freeze the frame when, about 1/4 of the way through, Hillary says "how to end the deficits that threaten Social Security." That's not sunshine -- those are flowers in bloom. The announcement is essentially content-free. All Hillary talks about is having a conversation. Not only is it devoid of any solutions, it notably fails to make reference to any specific current events. If this had been taped in the last couple days, could Hillary have resisted referring to her just-completed trip to Iraq? True, she does mention starting conversations "Monday," but it could have always been the plan to roll out the announcement over a weekend.

So, what's the story? Has Hillary had this video in the can since summer or early fall? Was it a carefully staged artificial background? Minor points in the great scheme of things, but perhaps interesting for us political junkie types.

She probably taped it as soon as she moved into the house in Chappaqua and replays it three or four times a day.

Hillary is an actor anyway, so it doesn't suprise me that this was a staged and (very) pretaped event. It is a good catch though. Flowers in Winter?

Bill Clinton used to talk about the middle class and people who "play by the rules". Hillary just is quoting Bill verbatim in this video.

Does Hillary have any original thoughts? Or is she conditioned to have a re-run of Bill's campaigns?

This was probably filmed at least a few years ago. Age hasn't been kind to her and she's getting uglier much more quickly with time.

She made her move, maybe in response to the pressures of Obama.

I'm glad to see Obama and Edwards out there because they may deflate Hillary's balloon. Good God, she's been preparing for a coronation all these years. But at least there are some other serious Democrat candidates out there that she has to get through first.

Where Did Hillary Tape 'I'm In' Announcement?

My guess is Lucasfilm's studios at Skywalker Ranch with major special effects help from Industrial Light and Magic.

As much as I'd LOVE to catch her in something, I think the bush is a fine firred evergreen, and the yellow spots are spaces where you can see the sunny areas beyond the fir. It looks like bare bushes are at the base of the outdoor scene. Anyway, that is what it looke like to me.

http://ezinearticles.com/?Rose-Meanings-Explained&id=63648

• Pale Pink Roses: Pale pink roses imply grace, gentleness, and joy.

• Light Pink Roses: Light pink roses express a sense of fun, happiness, and whimsy.

• Deep Pink Roses: Deep pink roses say, "Thank you."

• Lilac Roses: Lilac roses indicate the sender has fallen in love at first sight with the recipient and is enchanted. (To make sure the recipient doesn’t miss the message, an appropriate card might also be a good idea. The meaning of lilac roses isn’t as widely-known as the meaning of red roses, for instance.)

• White Roses: Pure white roses symbolize truth and innocence. They also send other messages like, "I miss you," and "You're heavenly” (or both, if your loved one is away.)

• Coral Roses: Coral roses express one thing through their passionate color: Desire.

• Peach Roses: Peach roses signify appreciation, gratitude, modesty, and also can convey sympathy.

What is with the camera panning from side to side like that?

As for the flowers ... that also could be daylight/sunlight shining through the branches .. it's hard to tell

Though I do like the filter they TRIED to use to smooth out her wrinkles .. especially the ones on her neck

Two things in her "announcement" got my attention.

#1. "After six years of George Bush...."

If she thinks the past six years were bad, wait until the next two years with the RAT party in control of our wallets.

#2. "The conversation in Washington has been one-sided..."

Yeah, if you want to take into account the treatment the President has gotten from your party. Your party basically calling him Hitler and worse, - yep, that's the ticket to get you elected.

BTW, I wonder how many hours (or BOTOX) it took to make all that ugly not so ugly?
