Two mosques demolished in Islamabad over security threat

By Shahzad Malik

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration and Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Saturday demolished two mosques near the Islamabad Highway and Murree Road, after intelligence reports indicated they could be used to launch terrorist attacks.

Sources told Daily Times that the intelligence agencies had reported to the Interior Ministry that mosques in green areas near Murre Road and Islamabad Highway could be used by “miscreants” to target VIPs and foreign dignitaries, who use these roads often to travel between the airport and their offices in the capital. There was also a raised threat of terrorist attacks because of Tuesday’s air strike on a suspected militant compound in South Waziristan.

Okay. We get a lot of posters on Romney threads who are quick to label folks who dare mentions Romney's roots as being "bigots." So we need these folks to come on threads like this & label folks who go around destroying Islamic mosques as people who engage in religious discrimination & are undercutting religious freedom in the name of bigot-mindedness.

I wonder if the mosques (no typo) in America are teaching the same things as the mosques (no typo) in Saudi?

We all know the answer too this.

Well, let's be frank. There was a short period in the early days of the Latter Day Saints when they were perceived as dangerous, and perhaps rightly so. No one really knew what they might do. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote his famous tale, "A Study in Scarlet."

But there's now a historical record. How many Mormons have gone around the world cutting off heads and blowing up innocent people?

Islam, on the other hand, has a long record of rape, murder, enslavement, conquest, beheadings, stonings, pederasty, and all the rest. There hasn't been a period in history when Muslims haven't been busy going out and killing people in the name of their religion.

Despite what some people say, that is not the case with Christians, Jews, or Mormons. Mormons do not represent a threat to others in the same way that Muslims do. Regretable, but that's what history shows.

Similar problems are raised when multiculturalists say that Satanists should have religious freedom. I don't think so. Their record isn't good. Wiccan? OK, maybe. But we can draw the line at Satanists if they start carving up virgins on altars or murdering babies.

Seems to me that folks going around blowing up mosques are logical, but what does Romney have to do with any of that?

To become civilized, you have to be uncivilized.

Good for Musharraf.

This reminds me of Anne Coulter and her well-stated opinion that the haters in the World use their victim status as a shield. From their shields they fire invectives, missiles, rocks or whatever they have available.

We can let their shields stand or we can remove the shields. I vote to remove them!
