There was a post somewhere around here about "The Gore Effect". The gist of "The Gore Effect" is that at times when manbearpig goes out and about speaking about "global warming" some places he has spoken at have had some of their lowest temps. in recent memory.

No mater how tight they close down post the mess hall will be open.
Barracks Rats have to eat.
I was a Barracks Rat for six years before I found better quarters. Liked going to AF and Navy bases. They had mid-rats, good place to end the night after a night on the town.

They have said that the Dinning Facilities (Mess Halls to us old Vets) serving the troops in the Enlisted Dormitories (Barracks in us old Vets day) are open and running.
