On thing we do agree on is Duncan Hunter's 'congressional pardon' notion was one stunning piece of boneheaded grandstanding that clearly demonstrates Hunter isn't presidential timber and is a constitutional dunderhead.

Oh, puh-leeze. You support a guy who was half of McCain-Feingold (what part of "Congress shall pass no law" do you not understand?) and have the lack of shame to make such a statement about another candidate?

The media can only savage you if you give them the ammo.

Ah, yes. The media NEVER pulls stuff out their butts.

Are you really sure you want to keep digging that hole deeper? You're only impressing yourself.

I will not vote for anybody who advocates losing in Iraq, period. Anybody who doesn't understand what will happen if we give up in Iraq does not deserve to be CIC, and will weaken our country more then any stupid tax policy or social policy ever could.

I weep for my country if our pain threshold is now 3,000 dead in 4 years. Not that each life isn't important, but if this is our pain threshold, pretty soon, we will be dictated to by Easter Island's army.

By the by...What is Quayle up to these days?

Last I checked, he wasn't working to give more rights to terror suspects like McVain.

Wasn't working to limit free speech.

Wasn't pushing amnesty.

Too bad McCain isn't in quiet retirement. It would be a major political improvement.

Yes....Giuliani is part of the Amnesty strategy. And you'll STILL vote for him on the appointed day. Why?...Because his opposition will be Hillary. Giuliani could ride up battery park on the backs of 50,000 illegals from Honduras shouting Viva Giuliani, Viva! and you still vote for him...Why?...Because they'll be OUR illegals and not Hillary's illegals.

Thanks for making a stronger case against McCain AND Guiliani.

He's not running for office. Too bad McCain isn't retired as well.

Don't think the problem with Iraq is the 3,000 dead. Disappointing yes...The price is too steep?...not for victory. It's the four years and 400 Billion... that's the the problem. Victory seems even more elusive now than it did three years ago. The war is certainly more geopolitically complex than it was in 2003. Is victory guaranteed?...No. is it doable. Yes. As an Iraqi democracy?...probably not. My guess is we gonna have to Diem Maliki and find us an Iraqi sheisskopf that scares the bejabbers out of ALL Iraqis , Sunni, Shia and Kurd. What we need is OUR Neo-Saddam who knows his place. I'm sure he exists. Some Iraqi secular General who is ambitious as Satan.

I didn't ask what Quayle is NOT DOING.

And I said that Quayle is NOT seeking rights for terrorists. NOT seeking to curb First Amendment rights. And NOT actively working to give illegals amnesty.

So Dan Quayle, out of sight, is a VAST improvement over McPain in the limelight.

Is victory guaranteed?...No.

Only if we quit. They absolutely cannot win unless we just quit.

Yes. As an Iraqi democracy?...probably not.

Rediculous. If we can turn Imperial Japan into a democracy, it CAN happen with any country. It's just a matter of if we are willing to do what needs to be done.

Why? So he can do this all over again a few years down the line? So he can get power mad and murder his people and attack his neighbors? No thanks.

Our biggest problem is we didn't break enough going in. We didn't destroy enough of the Baathist, we didn't crack down on militia groups, we didn't stop Iran from making inroads. This should not have been an option. We should have disabled all roads coming in from Syria and Iran, and set up heavy aircraft cover for both borders. We should have cleaned out an entire neighborhood if one of our guys got hit.

What we need to do is establish a military dictatorship in the Sunni Triangle, and destroy anything that moves against us, and allow nothing in. Violate Civil Rights up the ying-yang? Absof*%kinglutely. But preserve democracy in the long run.

The Hispanic die was cast well over 20 years ago. Illegal immigration has become the fulcrum of US politics. If we were unwilling to make hiring illegals a felony then the die was cast at that moment. America needed illegals as a counter weight to Unions. Nevada, California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, New Mexico and increasingly Georgia , Oregon, Washington economies are run on illegal labor. I just had my house painted. The painting contractor (Licensed and bonded) spoke English...Kinda. His crew showed up prepped and painted the entire house inside and out ( 3,400 square feet) in two days. None of them were documented I'd guess. Guatemalans and Hondurans by the accents. Worked liked Trojans. And then they were gone. One 30 minute lunch break. Worked from 7 am till 9 pm. Betcha this contractor didn't pay overtime either. I paid for the job and paint.

Hispanics of the 1980's and 2000's are the Irish and Chinese of the 1850's and 60's. Your great grandchildren will be named Jason Gutierrez and Emiliano Dirtboy and speak Spanish and English.

He went squishy on Iraq AND he supports "some kind of" amnesty for illegals. I sent his campaign money last year. Now i am very disappointed.
