"I am very principled if we lose this election, we lose the country. It is just that principled."
If Rudy wins, we lose.
If Hillary wins, we lose.
Either way, we lose.
Pro-choice.
Abortions in NYC declined under Rudy's watch
Not an issue unless you can tell us how Guiliani made this happen. He has supported partial birth abortion which makes him not just liberal but vile.
We here, out West, like our presidents to have the strong character of a Teddy Roosevelt, John Wayne or a Ronald Reagan with a sense strong morals. We won't vote for lisping/ philandering sissy men!
And your glass is and always has been half full.....
"We won't vote for lisping/ philandering sissy men!"
Rudy is someone Hillary could actually try to run to the right of....
He actually thinks Ginsburg is a good USSC Justice!
That wasn't what you said, However if it means voting for twinkle toes(rudy) it's not going to happen.
If Hillary wins, we lose.
That you can't see the difference undermines all of your criticism.
Hi there. How are the contenders doing? Whose winning the boxing match on this thread? Every way, every day, it is a new Mitt or Rudy thread on this site! The same show seven days a week. Ain't it grand?
I have always said that in elections "losing is not an option" and I believe it more in 2008 then I did when Pres Reagan ran in 1980. We (Republicans) could not afford to let the DemocRATs take the WH in 1980 and I don't think we can afford to let it happen in 2008 because the consequences will be worse because we have been attacked by terrorist on our own soil and we cannot look like appeasers or it is going to happen here again.
dude the guy isn't going to run as a liberal
Oh, he's going to act moderate until he gets the nomination. I feel so relieved.
"And your glass is and always has been half full....."
Pulling the lever for a guy diammetrically opposite of my political beliefs as a conservative on effectively EVERY ISSUE helps how?
That glass is empty and bone dry.
Sure have. So stuff that BS! Started with the Young Republicans club in 1968.... Nixon was the man. Reagan three times, 76, 80 and 84. Even pounded the pavement for Bush43 in 2000. Since Reagan I stick to supporting, promoting and voting for conservative Republicans. Not liberals like Giuliani. That's your speed.
"That you can't see the difference undermines all of your criticism."
That you do see a difference between two "we must take things away from you for the common good" liberal tyrants is puzzling.
Your support of Rudy will see Hillary elected. If you support Rudy's politics, then you're pretty much on the same page with Hillary anyway. He is. I believe he's enen said so!
I'm happy too....but the odds of him being the next POTUS are ...the same as his poll ratings ..somewhere between 1% and zero.
Sounds like he's just ahead of Rudy then.
The very idea Guilianni is a conservative is utterly without merit and laughable.
To win a Presidential election you have to have widespread, mainstream appeal. Giuliani has that in spades.
The issue will still be who can best lead the fight against our enemies in the war on terror, not who the best one-issue wonder or fundamentalist nannystater is. It's that simple.
"I try. What say you?"
So, you don't care about issues. You just care about party. I've lobbied and donated, but only to conservatives and conservative causes.
It's not about my "team" winning and all the parties. It's about issues.
for now.
