PHILADELPHIA - January 25, 2007 - It is described by federal authorities as one of the most horrific cases of child pornography that they have ever seen. At the center of it all is John Worman of Colwyn, Delaware County and two alleged co-conspirators.
Worman's family tells Action News that he was actually living elsewhere at the time of his arrest a year ago. Back then, he was picked up for allegedly sexually abusing two minors.
Federal investigators said what they have found since that arrest is very disturbing.
"This may be the most horrific case that I have ever been involved with," said U.S. Attorney Patrick Meehan.
39-year-old John Worman of Colwyn, Delaware County was indicted on 51 counts of producing and possessing child pornography.
Investigators say they found more than one million pornographic images of kids on Worman's computer along with hundreds of videos of Worman sexually assaulting kids of all ages.
Some of them are just infants. The youngest was just three-months-old.

Calling it "the most horrific case" of exploitation of young children he had ever been involved with, United States Attorney Pat Meehan said three people have been charged in an incident involving a million photos and thousands of child pornography videos.
Multiple criminal charges were filed against three Delaware County residents.
John Worman, 39, of Colwyn, was charged with 53 counts of producing and possessing child pornography. Police have recovered more than one million images and videos from his computer.
He also faces other charges, including hundreds of counts of rape and sexual assault in Delaware County Common Pleas Court.
From 1997 to 2006, according to court documents, Worman sexually abused at least 12 children including infants as young as 3 months who were left by their parents at a baby sitting service in Collingdale.
With the assistance of Concetta Jackson, 44 of Collingdale, and Dorothy Prawdzik, 43 of Drexel Hill, who were babysitting the children, Worman would video the children as they used the toilet, undressed and showered.
Police said Worman had installed a video camera in a bathroom wall and used it to videotape four children between 2003 and 2006.
According to court papers, Worman sexually abused some of the children who he forced to participate in oral, vaginal and anal sex. He would video tape the assaults.
Officials are still investigating the crime and have not yet determined if any of the images were sold or if all of the children in the pictures have been identified.
Worman has been in custody since February 2006 and is being held in Delaware County Jail on $4 million dollars cash bail. The two women were arraigned in Philadelphia Federal Court today.

Because they're child rapists. Drug "dealers" are no different than the local liquor stores where I get my occasionally excessive doses of Scotch, rum, and vodka. Let's keep a sense of perspective: selling weed is not the same as raping kids. Death, or life in a cage, this guy should never see natural light again.
This is a federal case, not city or county.

Reminds me of an incident in the classic novel, How Green Was My Valley. The Welsh village had an incident of a perv molesting and killing a child. All the men of the village took the perv up on some mountain somewhere and dealt with him accordingly. The book didn't go into details, but the perv didn't come down from the mountain again.
What I don't understand is this. If he did this to infants there had to be bruising around the genital areas and if there was how was it not noticed?
