Here's another nice bit of news to those who saw the article in last week's thread asking to help put one of the many wonderful milblogs over the top in a tight competition to win $3000, which the blogger/FReeper chcknhawk had promised to donate to military children of the Camp Lejeune ballerina troupe.

Approximately five minutes ago, they deposited the $3000 (before Paypal's stupid $88 fee) into our Paypal account. I was there with Tim, in the wheelchair. In fact, I was the one who wheeled him out, because he was indeed incensed when he heard about the protestors. I am the one pictured above with Kristin. I am back home in South Florida, my time in DC with my son ended. I was very pleased to meet everyone, and very satisfied in finding out that the pinkos will not harrass my son when he is taken out on Fridays, thanks to you and the Freepers. Remain vigilant, remain on duty at your post, the main entrance to WRAMC. God bless all y'all.
