Police: Man Zaps Grandma-In-Law With Taser
POSTED: 2:45 pm EST January 27, 2007
NORTH BONNEVILLE, Wash. -- A Washington man has been released from jail, but he doesn't have his stun gun anymore.
Aaron de Bruyn's Taser was confiscated after police arrested him for allegedly using it on his 79-year-old grandmother-in-law.
De Bruyn admitted that he shocked her on her shoulder but said he did it because she refused to leave his house. The two had gotten into an argument after she accused him of child abuse for swatting his baby son on his diapered bottom. He said he did that to keep the boy from grabbing some electrical wires.
The grandmother was otherwise uninjured, but de Bruyn spent a night in jail and has been cited with fourth-degree domestic violence.
And he said if he had it to do over again, he wouldn't.

Dunno... she sounds like one of those looney liberal types that don't believe in punishment for children and that we should 'reason' with them instead.

I killed my Grandmother-in-law.
In Reno.
Just to watch her die.
And when I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry.

He swats the baby from going near electrical wires???? And he has a stun gun??????????? And he used it on Grandma???????????????????????????????????
I wouldn't swat my puppy from going near or trying to chew electrical wires, I would take him out of harms way and say "NO"
Somebody better keep an eye on that baby.

Great Johnny Cash reference.
Anyhow, from what I saw on TV, she had it coming. The man's wife stands by him, she must have been really bad.

I heard on the radio here, 9 months.

Smack their hands when they're little, and you won't have to beat the crap outta' them when they're bigger.

I'll give you one example and see if you can beat it:
The day my sister died, she called to the house and asked to speak to my husband; when I said he was asleep because he was exhausted and upset, she said (without a so much as a breathe), "Why, it's not like she was in his family."
Your turn.

In fairness I should say that in the last couple of years, since we moved here to Raleigh, she's been much better, and was very supportive when my mother was sick.
