Gee,I thought the Karen Carpenter look was passe this year?!
Don't rub it in. :-)
I just turned it on and saw the question to Miss Georgia. All libs on the panel.
Hey, IIRC Ohio has around 10 Miss Americas in it's history.
I'm sorry, Miss Texas and Miss Georgia do nothing for me, I wouldn't even date them.
But, Cat, you're revolting.
Oops. I looked at the list. Ohio has 6 in the pageant's history.
She is pretty but I'm listening to her sing and her voice isn't all that strong. I'm glad she won though. How did Miss Kansas look?
I checked out the Wikipedia link. Back to back has happened before. There are also 2 other states with 6. The list of states that have winners, especially multiple winners, is pretty limited.
This is from another site:
The following States have never produced a Miss America:
Alaska, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming
Uh... She doesn't have crossed eyes. Look at the light reflexes in her eyes. They are perfectly balanced in both eyes with her pupils. No eso- or exotropia there.
On the other hand, I suspect YOU might have crossed eyes!
Indiana did produce a Miss America, Barbara Mougin.
MISS AMERICA 1978
Susan Perkins Ohio
1st Runner-Up Barbara Mougin, Indiana
2nd Runner-Up Catherine Amelia Hinson, South Carolina
3rd Runner-Up Mary D'Arcy, New Jersey
4th Runner-Up Catherine LaBelle, Florida
I was pulling for her, and this picture doesn't do her justice...she was much prettier and she could sing too!
Kansas didn't look bad.
I think that answer is the only reason she made it to the finals. Prissy Chrissy asked the question, and then brayed like the jackass he is when she said she'd seen enough of George Bush lately. I knew they discussed political issues in their interview segment, but I was not aware they asked such asinine questions. Doesn't say much for the judge who asked it IMO!
Man what you can do with an air brush. You can keep the nude pictures for yourself. LOL
May the firings begin.
