I heard Bill Clinton was to be the Keynote speaker at the party after the first day of filming.
With titles such as Hogtied and Men in Pain and considering it's in San Francisco, Barney Fwank would be more appropriate.

So..what the rest of this story? Where were the activists when this company bought the building? The Activists did try to occupy the building, but if you really want the rest of the story, you'll need to subscribe to Kink.com.

Adding to the outrage is the fact that the building erected in 1912... heh heh, he said 'erected'

I used to live a block from this place too. It sounds like the porn guys won it fair and square and given the character of the Mission District, with its winos, hookers and bums - not to mention, leftwing social service agencies that serve them and propagate them - I don't see how this weirdo movie house is going to bring down the neighborhood. It'll probably bring it up, actually.

I'd rather kink.com have it than useless community groups.

Only in San Francisco would an old, abandoned building in a working class area go for $14.5 million!
Here are pictures of the building (no porn):

Here in Pittsburgh, you could have your pick of spooky, abandoned buildings for a lot less but I think Kink.com's guys will like being in San Francisco a lot better.
The exterior's kind of ugly but I like the inside. Looks like it's had its share of deferred maintenance. I think the city's lucky to have such a wealthy group buy it that won't have any problem sinking money into the building
