"That is not a hair question."
"That is also not a hair question."
These guys are kind of funny.
Saw it live. They were ridiculous. God, I hope my children dont end up like that.
It was funny. The media and local police helped spread the panic, and now they are browbeating a couple guys who did nothing wrong.
I would have asked, "So do you think your cell mate will use your hair for more leverage when he cornholes you without the benefits of chapstick during your first night in the Pokey?"

..and don't forget to see the movie coming in March!
I can appreciate their sense of the ludicrous when it comes to the Lame-Stream Media, I just hope they aren't digging themselves into deeper doo-doo with this irreverence.
Agreed. Littering at best.
I watched it - they had it on the local affiliate. These two are a couple of morons. Generation X slackers, probably never worked an honest day in their life.
What they should have asked was if either of them had ever bathed.
Oh, yeah. Funny as Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan--no doubt their role models. Same kind of cr*p I saw with the 60s hippies.
The media demanded a press conference, and their lawyer advised them not to talk about "the events of yesterday"- so this was the result.
It is pretty funny.
bahahaha.. They are only taking hair questions.
Kind of funny? They're hilarious!! Hairstyles of the 70s? Talking about bangs getting long? LOL
Not as big of morons as the "public officials" that mistook a lite brite for an bomb.
You honestly thought that was funny?
ROFLMAO!
Umm, Gex-X has long since grown up.
Two mooks who have been told they were above average and clever all their lives, and they believed it. Time to grow up. Hope it isn't too painful for them.
let me understand this, you attach a device on a bridge span, and other areas of high pedestrian traffic, with wires protruding from them at a time of war- I know this is not a war, mearly a situation, Caused by Bush-
and the Police and other Security agencies should not be concerned?
This idiots should be treated as the lunatic they are and Turner should be made to pay a hefty fine.
Seems to me they have brilliantly, with the help of Moron media and some police stupidity, turned a cheap marketing gimmick into national news and they did it unintentionally. They have their 15 minutes, I suspect these "slackers" will probably use it to make themselves worth much more money for their advertising ideas. You ticked off because you pissed away your 15?

MASTER SHAKE: "You can say that again..."
It was irreverent, but it was strange. Sounds like something I would say (although I don't know if I would have picked hair as a topic). But considering what these two had to go through because of some idiot that doesn't know what a lite-brite looks like (that had been up three weeks mind you in multiple cities), it's about as much reverence as the government officials deserved.
And if it HAD been a bomb, would you be calling the "public officials" morons for not doing anything?
In the post 9/11/2001 world that most of us live in, pranks like this are about as funny as yelling "Allah Akbar" in an airplane. Unless you are a 9/10 kinda person...
I love it when people won't dance to the tune of the media. It needs to happen more often.
Well put.
ATHF needs to write the Boston cops and Governor what's-'is-name in as special guest buffoons for a few shows. These bozos just tripled the movie's box office.
Oh c'mon... quit seeing terrorist threats in everything. This was guerrilla marketing that was blown WAY out of proportion by the media, and especially Fox News.
I didn't find them funny...just stupid. The situation is stupid as well, they just added their own stupidity to the equation. They could have simply said they didn't intend any harm and they didn't think what they were doing would cause the reaction it did. Apologize for the end result and shut up. Guess that'd have been too rational.
LOL! A device..? You mean a neon handbill? Please.. Any idiot outside of Boston could have recognized it wasn't a bomb.
IF, IF, IF.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
Any Maroon could see that this WAS NO BOMB!
I will drop kick anyone who goes into hysterics when they see something like this and conclude it might be a bomb.
Then I'll incite bystanders to laugh them into so much shame the idiot seriously considers suicide.
Terrorist will use trucks and vehicles, or at the very least a backpack. When the terrorist strike here they are going to use nukes anyhow, and there is not going to be any neon.
You are absolutedly right, we know what a bomb looks like.
oh wait, not a pair of gym shoes
I don't approve of what they did or the way they did it (and it's a weak campaign to begin with) but now that they are the flavor of the day for the media I hope they have some fun.
You could hear the MSMers getting flustered and one of them resorted to the old "How do you feel?" standby.
In short, they are kids making adults look and act like kids.
oh wait a bottle of water
oh wait not a tape recorder
Unless you think that anything could be a bomb in which case you better stay home.
If I was either of those 2 I would be making sure I was stocked up with cartons of cigarettes and soap-on-rope.
a FLASHLIGHT!!! It's got the requisite four D cell batteries that strike fear into the hearts of Bostonians.
I will never feel safe walking down the street again.
In your world this neon sign was just that, a normal item, that even the the police should have recoignized as such.
It's 1969, you're on The Point of a patrol in Moc Hoa. You see a Yogi Bear Doll on the street. A familiar kid's toy. It's cute. Do you pick it up?
During the day you could not see the character. Even so, you see a circuit board, wire and batteries hanging from a bridge span and you wouldn't be concerned?
Then you are a dope.
"Oh, look that man wearing the towel around his head and an explosive belt has a smiley face button on his suicide tunic...He must be a nice fellow doing Gorilla marketing! Maybe he would like to come home for dinner and meet my virgin daughter!"
It's a baby bottle of formula!!!!
Well I damn sure know what it takes to make one. After I destroy the first one with a high pressure water jet and find lights, batteries and a light board, but no explosive material, I assure you anyone with any training can - make that - should be able to tell you what this was not. Hours later they are still treating them like bombs. Over reacting, poorly trained, low IQ fools.
"Umm, Gex-X has long since grown up."
Umm, yeah did you see these two?
Over reacting and caution is precisely what keeps this fools alive.
I'm right with you. I dislike how reporters act if once they get a microphone in front of you that you are obligated to explain yourself to them, not the courts, not the authorities, but them - the journalist elite. If you run off trying to hide your face that image is slathered all over the TV as if that shows your guilt or shame. I don't know yet what I think of these guys but I enjoy seeing the journalists get ticked...as if they are being personally insulted because these guys won't play ball.
Stoners who belong behind bars, IMO
It looks like what it is even in the daylight.
Man I would have tried to steal it.
