There was someone in the gallery during President George W. Bushs State of the Union speech that he would not dare publicly recognize. Even though he knew she was there, Im confident he never even bothered to look up at Gallery 5, Row B, Seat 9, because sitting in that seat was Monica Ramos, the wife of imprisoned former Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos. She was the invited guest of Republican California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.

Of course, ol chuckie only tells half of the story.
Carefull, they will come for you...
How about we just post signs that say if you get caught bringing drugs in to the US we will shoot your ass? problem solved.
Here's another one.
gee Im so excited ...the Republican Party? Yipppeeee
Well the Dems and the Republican sure aren't doing the job. I can't see one American in the Congress and the White House is ?????
The US Constitution is not being defended and neither are the borders.
Hey, I'm all for the pardons, even though they obviously did some things wrong. And Bush said he would review it carefully. That is exactly how it should be. But it does no one any good to spin the story, like this guy does.
They obviously did something wrong. What their jobs ???
No. Filing a false report and trying to cover their tracks.
And why did they have to file a false report? Was the incident caught on tape? I think they filed the report they did because of politics. You see it's the same reason the National Guard are posted on the border without weapons. The whole situation has zero to do with actually protecting the border, it's all about the smoke and mirrors bullshit that's been going on now for years. the only "right" border agent is the one who lets the Mexican shoot first, and most of them are dead !!!
Well said!
Well said!
Much of what you say is true. That is why I support the pardon and think Bush will too.
BTW, the National Guard has weapons on the border.
From what I've heard no bullets though, and I'm serious !!!
Ya heard wrong. Nevertheless, the ROE are ridiculous so the may as well not.
That's a five day suspension for violating company rules.
I cant find it in print but I heard a story recently on local (Albuquerque) radio about a significant drop in illegal alliens making it across the border in NM ...Cant remember the numbers but since the 80's there has been a huge increase in border guards etc.
no credit is ever given for the positive stuff happening regarding this issue
Exactly, and well stated!
Despite its warts, the GOP remains head and shoulders above the Constitution Party.
If your talking about electability your right. If your talking about conservative fundamentals, sorry we disagree. The GOP that I've supported in the past is a bad mirror image of the GOP that really stood for conservative values in the past. If the best and brightest the GOP can offer today are John McCain or Rudy Giuliani then I guess my views are closer to the Constitution Party then the GOP !!!
"Whose Side Is Bush On?
The illegal alien invaders?
Just a guess.
We're all overlooking something here. Why did they feel they had to cover up their actions? Since when are border agents not supposed to use their guns against drug dealers sneaking in this country to ruin our youth? Sounds like the Bush border policy is in a sorry mess.
These guys need to be sent on a national speaking tour to expose what is going on in Immigration. Maybe even Bush doesn't know how bad it is.
I would suggest everybody on this thread who is speculating about the facts of this case take the time to read the large number of threads already posted on the subject, because there is a LOT of incorrect statements here, not about opinion but about the facts that are indisputable in the case.
You don't file a false report period. That is the cowards way out. Even if you believe you will take political heat, you tell the truth.
When exactly did character cease to matter with conservatives?
I not sure. Why don't you ask George Bush since he's been flushing our immigration laws down the toilet for years now !!!
Pathetic.
I have a feeling that blaming the President might just have been the goal all along. It was simply a convenient vehicle.
No it's not pathetic,it's what's going on. We who post on Free Republic have got to always agree with George Bush and the Republicans or we're spinning. When we bring in a Mexican drug dealer to testify against two of our border agents some of us see something beyond the norm that's happening. There's two guy's doing 12 years in prison for doing their jobs and if my rant brings George Bush into the situation and some people here don't like it T.S. (tough situation) !!!
for good news

Why, if the charges of the jury being pressured, are these two agents pushing so hard for a pardon instead of an appeal?
There is no question in my mind that when it comes to illegal immigration and President Bush, no good deed goes unpunished.
It's actually hurting the cause. Thanks for the good news. :-)
His character has everything to do with it. GROW UP! When the President of the United States makes a political statement,be it some sellout amnesty program or calling a group of concerned citizens like the Minutemen a vigilante group there's a statement loud and clear being sent. Maybe You think the world of politics is a Norman Rockwell painting but I don't and I disagree that questioning this whole situation is hysteria. As for your embarrasment I could care less !!!
They are pushing for both. As I would if I were in their shoes. These guys are guilty of breaking the rules. The prosecutor/judge are asswipes for going for such stern sentences.
The Constitution party is looking better and better, to me, every day.
And there you have it. A calm, rational, grown-up reply.
It' calm,it' rational,it's grown up and it's better then anything you've posted darling !!!
Good analysis. Can the sentences be reduced on appeal? I believe there should be no pardon until the appeals process is complete.
Thanks, dear. I like all the exclamation points.
I've been asking that question since the Berger sentencing.
I agree with you,he should have fire a lot more !!!
Constitution Party threads belong in the humor section.
When you defend them for filing a false report, you sound like a lib. They filed a false report and threw away evidence because they knew they had done wrong.
Wellllllllll you know us libs,we're usually taking the side of US Border Guards over Mexican drug dealers. It must be our upbringing.Viva Mehico, viva Mehican drug dealers !!!
