With each passing day, Romney looks better and better among an otherwise deadpan GOP hopeful gathering.

If nothing else, this issueis worth the upcoming fight. We absolutely have to pick a nominee who respects the Bill of Rights and the Constitution as is and will appoint Judicial nominees who do as well.

Roberts and Alito I like.

But I hope we can do better than Romney in 2008.

Many here have claimed that Giuliani has "promised" to appoint "strict constructionist" judges in the mold of Alito and Roberts. Yet, they've failed to produce a quote from Giuliani where he actually made that promise. All they can point to is quotes where he says that Alito and Roberts were "colleagues" of his at the justice department and that Bush fulfilled HIS promises in appointing them.

At least Romney has now actually come out and promised to appoint justices like Alito and Roberts and to do it based upon their view of the Constitution.

Not gonna happen. He's weird, flippy floppy and totally unelectable.

Freepers sure love jumping on a losing cause though....

At the NRO speech, Romney included Scalia and Thomas in his examples of the type of Justices he would appoint.

I don't want to bring 'Mormon' anything back into this debate, but the link below comes straight from Latter day Saint scripture.

Link

It was adopted August 17,1835.

With a Democratic Senate, judges like Roberts and Alito cannot be confirmed.

What difference does it make who the president appoints?
