A Chief constable was accused of 'madness' last night after refusing to release pictures of two escaped murderers amid fears it might breach their human rights.
Derbyshire's top policeman David Coleman claimed the killers posed 'no risk' to locals, while the force said it had to consider the Human Rights Act and data protection laws when asked to publish 'wanted' photographs of the two men.
The father of a teenager bludgeoned to death by Nixon angrily suggested Mr Coleman and his force needed to 'sort their priorities out' and revealed the police had not bothered to contact him to say his son's killer was on the run.
... 'And to suggest they had to consider Nixon's human rights is unbelievable. He is a convicted murderer. What about my human rights and my son's human rights?'
Derbyshire Constabulary had been asked by the media to provide pictures of Nixon and Croft, both 28, after it emerged they had absconded from Sudbury open prison in Derbyshire two months ago.
Both are still on the run, but the Derbyshire force said there was 'no proper policing purpose' in releasing pictures and claimed the men posed no risk to Derbyshire residents because they were thought to have left the county.
The force added that the Chief Constable had to take into account 'the Human Rights and Data Protection Acts' before releasing any photos.
... Nixon and Croft were both being held at the category D Sudbury open prison to finish their life sentences, which were both imposed in 1996.
The two men, both from Manchester, were being held there to help prepare them for release, and had been allowed periods of home leave and work placements. ...

Liberal madness can be found in the rejection of self-preservation.
And as a side-note, it's interesting that a "life sentence" for murder (murder!) in the UK only lasts 10 years. Notice that they were due for release, which is why they were in the minimum security facility in the first place.
Well isn't that special. They think they left the country.
Of course how would they know. They may well have dressed up in burkhas and just walked onto an airplane at Heathrow.
But that could never, ever happen.
Oh wait. It already did.

What an asinine statement.
You are so right! That chief Moose did nothing to catch those terrorists!! I felt like I was the only one that realized that guy was worthless!! I remember reading that the car had actually gone through a police checkpoint, , here you had a car with a sock stuck in a hole in the trunk, but Moose was looking for white men in white vans!! As for the UK, it's sort of like a Jackson Pollack painting,, stare at it long enough and you could think it all makes sense.
I correctly profiled the Beltway Snipers here on FR threads right after I talked to the FBI about my conclusions
Dark sedan - probably a fast Chevy (It was an former State Police Interceptor)
Minority
More than one
Muslim

I also did a casual profile on Ted K and put him in the correct age, education, former jobs, social behavior, rural area of the US, that he owned firearms, type of dwelling, etc
The FBI kept me over 2 hours on him and recorded it and called me back the next day and the day they caught him
I did a fair job on Eric Robert Rudoph - he was in an area of NC I was very familiar with - but Janet Reno's DOJ & FBI and Slick Willie were to busy trying to crucify a chubby security guard
http://www.crimelibrary.com/terrorists_spies/terrorists/eric_rudolph/6.html
They had more FBI agents chasing him then CIA men after OBL
And look how long he avoided them
Idiots
--
Nothing recently to look into that I can nail down
The missing DA case is not easy
My guess is he is alive and simply changed his ID and lifestyle
I'm usually right
Profilers are usually wrong!
Too long in the noon-day sun there, Constable.
The two fugitives are among 660 inmates who have gone missing from Sudbury in the last ten years, including 13 in the past two months.......
Nice rack record - so where's Osama?
not to intrude, but osama is likely being cared for and protected by a state government like pakistan or iran, or he is dead
Over 10 times Slick Willie, Hillary and Sandi Burglar knew where Osama O'Bomber was
And decided to play thru
By the time OBL was in Afghanistan he was buried and even Bush was PC there and still is
--
I just did the Ted K thing out of curiosity - he was out there for so long
It was constantly on TV
It was obvious about how old he was, where he went to college, his social ineptness, his sociopathic behavior, approximately where he lived (took the bus to CA to mail packages), his algreen craziness
I kept a legal pad, made notes, counted back to get his age - and college years - yeah the protester years!
I messed with it over about 3 months
Alternatives, etc.

There is a very sharp woman FBI agent that jumped all over this
Some of the men are know-it-alls who blow off lots of good leads
Ego / Peter Principle
--
Eric Robert Rudolph was simple
Any hunter from WNC or E-TN could have nailed him down
Many FReepers could too
--
Beltway Snipers were simple logic and a bit of intuition
Most would pick a plain brown wrapper sedan that is a natural to soup up or buy used or drop an engine in and modify the suspension
First choice would be a Chevy
Loads of used highway patrol cars out there
Why pick a white van?
Spock would say: "Illogical Captain!"
-
I offered to get rid of Saddam before the Gulf War for 5 billion
And his successor for 10 billion
Eventually a Patton-Rommel clone will be running the show and Muzzies here and abroad will dig or die
Some in the media and in Congress will be hung one way or another
The night of WTC-'93 I said it would happen again and the WTC would go and "who" would do it
But who CAIRs?

For chuckles read Dick Morris' latest: "Obama is a centrist...."
Morris is still working for Slick Willie -
The Devil's Triangle
that country is down the tube and gone.
Nice work!
I looked at where he was putting his bombs
It was eerie how accurate I was on Ted K
--
Most are way off on profiling - just give a range of things to look out for
Radicals tend to make some big mistakes over time
Compare Ted K's published writings in the NYT to OBL's videos
Like Castro - both "hurt" and "oppressed" by life
At least Castro could play baseball - no Major League contract - like Richardson claimed he was offered
--
Keep up the chase
Another will pop up and we can remotely nail him or her
--
The funny thing about these things is if I don't get a quick handle on some of it I know I never will
I've never had any luck on kidnapping things - not even a hint
There are some sharp writers that laugh at the DOJ and FBI when they go PC and run the wrong way
A gentleman from Alabama described such things, "This is ****ed up like a soup sandwich."
Is your arm hurting?
Liberals are proving that they do not want to punish criminals. In fact they love criminals. It's all part of their desire to see the "underclass" rise up and steal whatever property the "oppressor class" still has after liberal politicians tax it away.
No problem -
I'm ambidextrous -
I can write, throw, shoot with either or both hands - at once if required -
The two Colt .44s I carry are wasted without using both of them -
You're correct. Moose is a rascist.
And, of course, letting the residents of any country they think these scrotes have absconded to, well that would be a violation of Queen's Regulations, paragraph 4B LXIV 31, "Scrotes, Murdering, Privacy of, pertaining to."
Of course, we in the US have little room to talk. The more vileness some wretch finds in his twisted bones, the more New York Times columnists and CBS News actors/actresses will hang up posters of him and fantasize about some scrote manlove.
Whatever happened to a fair trial and a brisk hanging? We could all learn a lot from Iraq and Afghanistan in this.

Criminal Number 18F

Even my old darling, Jean Jacques Rousseau, would agree with you there.
