Bears win..21-16 Yeah, you better say that while you still can, before the game.
To: KevinDavis
Nor would I if my team were playing today. If Grossman can make some plays early then the Bears have a damn good shot.
To: mainepatsfan
Only 7 hours to kickoff!
For a bunch years now, my favorite team- the Montreal Canadiens- have played Super Bowl Sunday 2 pm games....
Kind of a tradition- watch the Habs and then the Super Bowl....
There is no way I can sit thru the 6 hour pregame show!!
To: mainepatsfan; All
That is correct... If Grossman don't frack up this game the Bears has a good chance.. Look for Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson to run the ball a lot today..

these guys run the NFL threads for the season didn't you get?
You're not a newbie, so quit acting like one.

Colts to win, beating the Bears, 30-18. The Colts are on a mission to help Peyton Manning overcome what I call, the "Charlie Brown syndrone". This is to mean having Lucy, the other teams "removed" the football before Charlie Brown was able to kick it.

Hi NY!
Yes, Brett's back and I am a happy Packer fan!
He's my favorite football player of all-time. Sweetness is my second even though he played for the Bears he was still so awesome it was hard not to like him.
What do you have for a temp in Oshkosh?
I say from now on the SB should be played in Green Bay in below zero temps :)
To: mainepatsfan
Colts 31-24.
I was gonna say 28-21 to match the spread and the under-over, but they each gotta score at least one field goal.

Oh boy, here we go.......
We did not want this to happen again this year. For the entire season mainepatsfan has been posting the weekly NFL Live Threads. We asked the mods about setting up todays thread. They asked mainepatsfan to post it in Breaking News, " but not too early".
We try to have one Live Thread to keep all the fans on the same thread, its not fun if there are multiple threads going on. It is not our attempt to "corner the market or be " in control", we just are trying to keep things organized for the football fans.
We are on top of things , but it seems somebody who is not familiar with the weekly routine always has to post a Super Bowl Thread- even though we have been taking care of the Live Threads and Ping List for the past couple of years. .
To: scott says; mainepatsfan
but it seems somebody who is not familiar with the weekly routine always has to post a Super Bowl Thread- even though we have been taking care of the Live Threads and Ping List for the past couple of years. . :) I was going to defend you all with that exact argument including how this is ALWAYS discussed with the Mods days beforehand, but since I stopped pinging NFL threads with you all, I left it to you.

That comeback the Colts made against the Pats tell me that they will not be denied. I look for a close game. I'll take the under and Colts by 3.
And thanks for the thread. I am a fan of the traditional.

If Good Rex shows up, the Bears win. If it's Bad Rex, the Colts win. Average Rex during the playoffs has ha a better QB rating than Payton Whatsisname. And how many picks did he throw against the Chiefs in the first round?
To: cgk
Maine set it up with the Mods...as usual, someone comes in and sets up another thread. :(
Its not a big deal, this is an open site and people are going to post what they want. We try to be on top of things, setting it up, and it still happens anyway. :(
To: MotleyGirl70
Yep... would love to see the Super Bowl in Green Bay.
No Janet Jackson exposure here... she'd be treated for frostbite. ; )
Here in Stevens Point it is a balmy - 12 with windchills of 30 below. Tonight they are talking windchills of 40 below. I say bring it on!
Throw another log on the fire, and let Mother Nature toss around outside.
To: scott says
but it seems somebody who is not familiar with the weekly routine always has to post a Super Bowl ThreadThat'd be me. I'm not offended in any way. I am just excited about the game. Tis true: I don't pay much attention to routine these days. Blame it on my old age.

even if my team isnt playing.
The Colts will win 30 to 17, maybe.
To: MotleyGirl70
I am glad to hear Bretrt is coming back, I hope he has a great year, but I cannot support your pick for the SB. I cannot take Peyton's whining, he is allowed to get away with what should amount to a false start on every play.
Go Bears ;)
