France's Chirac Tries to Sabotage Iran Sanctions
- Kenneth R. Timmerman, NewsMax reported that French President Jacques Chirac is attempting to sabotage U.S.-led efforts to apply economic and diplomatic pressure on Iran, according to a report by the center-left French daily, Le Monde.
- Reuters reported that French President Jacques Chirac has said it would not be very dangerous for Iran to have a nuclear bomb, but later retracted the remark.

Russia has completed deliveries of Tor-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran, RIA Novosti reports. "We have supplied modern anti-aircraft short-range missile systems under a contract," Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has said, adding that Iran "is not under any sanctions" and that Russia will continue to develop military and technical cooperation with Tehran. Russia supplied 29 Tor-M1 systems to Iran under a $700 million contract signed at the end of 2005.
