Edwards’s Bloggers Cross the Line, Critic Says
NY Times ^ | Feb 7, 2007 | John Broder

Posted on 02/07/2007 1:28:43 AM PST by Notwithstanding

Two bloggers hired by John Edwards to reach out to liberals in the online world have landed his presidential campaign in hot water for doing what bloggers do — expressing their opinions in provocative and often crude language.

The Catholic League, a conservative religious group, is demanding that Mr. Edwards dismiss the two, Amanda Marcotte of the Pandagon blog site and Melissa McEwan, who writes on her blog, Shakespeare’s Sister, for expressing anti-Catholic opinions.

The NYT is in the tank for Senator Mrs. Bill Clinton, this is just some plain political 'Whack-A-Mole' work in her behalf.

"In another posting last year, she used vulgar language to describe the church doctrine of the Immaculate Conception."

Leave it to the anti-religious NY Times to mix up the Doctrine of The Immaculate Conception with the Doctrine oif The Incarnation.

Edwards is deep trouble.

Exactly. The Slimes doesn't give a damn about anti-Catholic hate speech. All they care about is getting their girl in the White House.

Gee wiz.

A foul-mouthed, Christian hating Democrat candidate.

Who woulda thunk it?

Seriously, any self-respecting religious people out there who STILL respects the Democrat party ... must simply be closing their eyes to the facts.

And those facts prove over and over how much Democrats despise anyone who tries to follow the precepts of the Bible.

This is an sample from the tolerant liberal hired by Edwards:

Part one is here.

Q: What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit?

A: You’d have to justify your misogyny with another ancient mythology.

Exactly right.
The New York Slimes is the more ani-Christ than Bin Laden and Satan combined.
They are just doing what they've always done : Carrying the water for Hitlery, and smearing Hitelry's opponents.
Nothing new there.

Mr. Edwards’s spokeswoman, Jennifer Palmieri, said Tuesday night that the campaign was weighing the fate of the two bloggers.

Had these two staffers posted similar "rants" based on race, or expressed such contempt toward Islam, I doubt there would be much "weighing" of their fate.

I read on another blog yesterday that's she's been stealthily deleting the most objectionable old posts, so whatever's still up at the site is likely not the worst of it.

I haven't checked the blog out -- sewers make me nauseous.

I'd say Ms. Marcotte is working on Plan H. A one way ticket to Hell.

There's Jennifer again.

She's a busy girl, isn't she? And she always manages to find herself real close to the action.

I wondered if the Clintons gave her to Edwards.

Edwards has a role of promoting government health care; he's out to expand the team and then be absorbed by the new blob monster - the Hillary campaign.

This, her?

Jennifer Palmieri

Jennifer Palmieri is the Vice President of Communications at the Center for American Progress. Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Palmieri was the National Press Secretary for the 2004 Edwards for President campaign. She held the position of National Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee during the 2002 election cycle, and is an eight year veteran of the Clinton White House. Ms. Palmieri was a White House Deputy Press Secretary from 1998 to 2001. She also served in the White House as a Special Assistant to White House Chief of Staff Leon Panetta and Deputy Director of Scheduling and Advance. Her career in politics began in the Congressional office of Congressman Leon Panetta (D-CA). She is a graduate of the American University in Washington, D.C.

The NYT writer has no idea what the "Immaculate Conception" is. He thinks it's about Christ's incarnation but it's about Mary's conception and birth.

It's certainly going to hurt him badly. If he fires these two creatures, the Kos Krowd will abandon him and flock to Obama. If he keeps them on, Catholics and the few remaining sane democrats will abandon him and flock to Hillary.

I speculated last night that Edwards' wife was probably the one responsible for hiring these two in the first place, that she probably discovered them while reading and posting at Daily Kos, which she does frequently. If so, she probably torpedoed her husband's campaign before it even started.

Hillary really wanted her media minions to jump on this one hard and fast, didn't she?

It makes sense that someone who oversaw that childish crew would hire people equally as childish to be the blog voice of her ideal candidate (Breck Girl).

She confiscated all of the W's!

The Clintonistas/Dems worked at so many levels, important and petty, to thwart effective governance, it is mind-boggling and perhaps diabolical (as in evil!).

Same with the Libby trial revelations on the other thread. :-(

Edward's wife sounds like a real piece of work. She was the same one that was quoted as saying (I'm paraphrasing, here) that their new mansion was not much more than their 1st apartment.

The new mansion is 27000 square feet, with a gym and indoor swimming pool.

MY first apartment was 500+/- Square feet, with a bathroom and a bedroom.
