(CNSNews.com) - Weeks after accusing President Bush of "shameful" behavior over the imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents who shot an unarmed suspected drug smuggler along the U.S.-Mexico border, a federal lawmaker turned up the heat further Wednesday, suggesting the president should be impeached if either of the two men is murdered in prison.

I'm not with the Bush impeachment argument. But it would be shameful, and he would deserve a lot of scorn directed towards him.

I have been a huge President Bush fan. This incident is making me really upset at him. I am furious that he would leave these border agents hanging while they are being railroaded by a political agenda. Where is the pardon?
The border patrol has the highest rates of low moral out of most of our Government law enforcement agencies.

I have not been able to take the War on Terror very serious when the president refuses to shut the borders down. The president should pardon these guys and then give them some more ammo. He should say publically that if you are a foreigner that's injured or killed transporting illegal drugs in to the US you are out of luck. Border agents should have licenses to kill when it comes to illegals or anyone else trafficking drugs..
The border issue is why Bushes numbers are in the toilet. He's been as wimpy with Vincente Fox as he has been with the Democrats. He always lets people push him around and for that I have lost all respect for him. All the presidents "new tone" and turning the other cheek has gotten him is his face slapped and the Democrats in power.
Where are the Ronald Reagans? We need someone like Ronald Reagan. A real man. Not wimps.

A self proclaimed "compassionate conservative" who is most compassionate to Mexican illegal criminals. I've believed for some time that his refusal to follow his oath of office in regard to protecting and defending this nation by leaving our borders completely wide open is deserving of an impeachment boot in his arse. ALOT of American citizens have already died at the hands of these criminals. I am left with no recourse but to believe that he just doesn't give a damn.

This whole boarder agent is a perfect example of why Bush is such an unpopular President. If he were at all politically savvy, he would pardon these guys. Even his own party is against him on this. I think Mexico must have something on Bush.

If you honestly believe that many conservatives are nothing but seminar posters, you are dreaming. Bush has shattered the republican party and it's showing up more and more everyday. 2006 elections should have shown proof of this for you. If things do not change, 2008 is going to be even worse.

Maybe you should take a dose of STFU for a bit. Have you heard the lies that Bush's 'spokesman' Tony Snow told Sean Hannity last week regarding the trial transcripts? And don't forget that it is the Bush administration that has been lying to congress about the character of the agents, and that it is the Bush administration that has been treating our Border Patrol Agents and the Minutemen as the enemy.

Tony Snow also "spun" Laura Ingraham with his pronouncement that she should "read the transcript" of this trial. Nice Tony! There IS no transcript! Sheesh. They can't even keep up with all the lies.
To: PhilipFreneau
Get a grip. Every prosecutor in the justice department, every BP agent and supervisor, and every DHS official is not under the direct tutelage and influence of the President. He'd be pretty damn busy overlording the 10s of thousands of cases and prosecutions and acquitals and investigations, now wouldn't he?
So he does the right thing by agreeing to review the case when approached by Duncan Hunter and others, and you think he's the devil for not raising his hand and dismissing it on the spot.

I agree. Some of us have been arguing this issue for decades. The difference is that now it has reached critical mass. It is destroying our entire culture. And it's not "just" in the border states anymore. It is now touching everyone, everywhere.
