She obviously didn't care enough to stop acting like a fool and start taking care of herself and him. He was said to be totally embarrassed by her, shouldn't she have taken that into consideration and straightened up, not to mention the fact that she just had a new baby?
Sorry TxAngel, I have no sympathy for her other than the fact that she led a very troubled life, in her own mind, and should have sought professional help in order to save herself and her family. She could have been beautiful and sexy and rich and still be living if she had done these things.
May she rest in peace!

I just heard what amounts to a bombshell for a motive for Stern to kill Smith. Of course Fox News glossed right over it, only mentioning it in passing. Anyway, two or three days ago Smith was ordered to submit herself and the baby to DNA testing in the paternity case. With Smith dead, that order isn't enforceable, and now Stern is completely in the driver's seat, especially since the court today denied Birkhead's motion for emergency DNA testing on Smith.

Autopsy says death suspicious but nothing further.

Stern has won. I believe he committed two murders.

Since wannabe papa Stern is not a Bahamian citizen, the Bahamian government has no reason to side with him against the US government. In fact, at this point, I imagine they'd be happy to get rid of both him and the baby by sending them home on an extradition order.

Thank you for the info. Makes perfect sense. Except fot the fact that Bahamian government employees have been known to take bribes. Maybe not in this high profile case.

He may have temporarily won but the other "father" will press for a DNA test to determine paternity. That won't go away. If anything it will HEAT UP - especially when it the mothers' death appears to be SUSPICIOUS.

I don't know if we can forced extradition of the baby and Howard Stern. Maybe they could go there and with cooperation from THAT government obtain what they need to determine who is the father. There is allot of money at stake and that baby has NO BUSINESS with this creep. I hope Anna's mother steps in for custody of the baby. THAT would make the most sense - what's best for the little baby.

More tests needed in Smith death case
Curt Anderson - ap

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070210/ap_en_ce/anna_nicole_smith_157

DANIA BEACH, Fla. - Prescription drugs were found in Anna Nicole Smith's hotel room, but there were no pills in her stomach, and investigators said Friday they are awaiting tests that could tell whether the former centerfold died of an overdose, as some close to her suspect.

At the same time, a judge in Los Angeles ordered that the model's body be preserved for at least 10 days for a possible DNA test related to a paternity dispute. The ruling could interfere with plans for a funeral.

Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward County medical examiner who did the autopsy, said no illegal drugs were discovered in Smith's room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood after the 39-year-old pinup collapsed there on Thursday. He would not identify the prescription drugs.

But CNN quoted an unidentified law enforcement source as saying there were large amounts of prescription drugs, including Valium and antibiotics, as well as over-the-counter cold and flu medication.

Perper said that although toxicology tests are pending, the autopsy found no immediate evidence, either in Smith's stomach or her bloodstream, that she had taken large amounts of prescription medication. But officials "do not exclude any kind of contribution of medication to the death," he added.

He reported signs of inflammation in Smith's heart — "Something which looks a little bit unusual" — but added, "It may be nothing."

He said it would take three to five weeks to conclude the investigation. Authorities also planned to interview a nurse and others and examine medical records before settling on a cause of death.

Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said there was no indication the voluptuous blonde was the victim of a crime, and Perper said the autopsy was able to exclude any kind of physical injury such as blows to the body or asphyxiation.

"There are a number of possibilities" as to the cause of death, Perper said, including natural causes, a drug reaction or some combination of the two.

Perper said she had been sick for several days with some kind of stomach flu.

And in yet another strange twist in the case, a third man — the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, Prince Frederic von Anhalt — stepped forward Friday to claim he may be the baby's father.

Smith, a small-town Texas girl who went from topless dancer to Playboy Playmate of the Year, Guess jeans model and bride of an 89-year-old oilman, was found unconscious in her hotel room by a private nurse, officials said. A bodyguard performed CPR, Tiger said, but Smith was declared dead at a hospital.

In recent TV appearances, Smith's speech was often slurred and critics said she seemed drugged-out.

Michael Scott, a former attorney for Smith in the Bahamas, said he suspects drugs "featured in her death." And Smith's mother said Friday she believes her daughter died of an overdose. Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, died in September of what was believed to be an accidental drug overdose, around the time Smith gave birth to her daughter, Dannielynn.

"I think she had too many drugs, just like Danny," her mother, Vergie Arthur, told ABC's "Good Morning America." "I tried to warn her about drugs and the people that she hung around with. She didn't listen."

"She was too drugged up," Arthur said. "By the last interview I saw of her, she was so wasted."

Smith's attorney, Ron Rale, dismissed claims her death was related to drugs as "a bunch of nonsense." Rale said he had talked to her on Tuesday or Wednesday, and she had flu symptoms and a fever and was still grieving over her son.

In Los Angeles, a judge ordered that Smith's body be preserved until a Feb. 20 hearing in the paternity case. He refused to order an immediate DNA test on Smith to help identify the baby's father.

Normally, there is no need for DNA testing on the mother in a paternity case. But one of the men who are claiming to be the baby's father asked for genetic material from Smith to guard against a possible baby switch.

Two men have claimed to be the father: attorney Howard K. Stern, Smith's most recent companion, and Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend. Then, on Friday, von Anhalt announced that he had had an affair with Smith and might be the father.

The paternity decision could determine the child's inheritance.

At her death, Smith was waging a yearslong court battle over the estate of her late husband, J. Howard Marshall II, who died in 1995 at age 90. A federal court in California awarded Smith $474 million, but that was later overturned.

You're right. Any person of breeding would have thought of the pin-ups as "low class". I doubt Kate Hepburn, Grace Kelly and others of similar breeding were jealous of them. I know the women in my mother's circle thought of them as trashy. The girls lacked the talent to compete with the elite, so they HAD to take their clothes off for attention. That sentiment still holds true today among the young women I know, thank goodness.

As far as I know, they were married at sea by a Baptist minister. Whether or not a license would have been required and/or if there is a marriage certificate, no one seems to know. And it may also be that the minister holds a Captain's license.

It seems like it might be a tricky situation.....almost like the Attorney was being VERY clever.

Her eyes say (said) she didn't love the attorney. His eyes always seem to say:"You don't know what I'm thinking". He always had a "fear" in his eyes. What were his secrets??

Interesting that Donald Trump said he didn't like the guy. Donald has good instincts.

Time for THE LIST!!!!!

This case has not been so much about the Tabloid Anna Nicole Smith, but the legal crises surrounding;
The death of a son - about to reach his majority (age 21)of undetermined manner and cause. Could be homicide.
The birth of a daughter - whose paternity and custody is in question - who may also have been born addicted to illegally obtained prescription drugs.
The premature, undetermined death of the infant's mother -could be homicide, suicide or misadventure.
Conspiracy to access a $1.6billion estate and eliminate per stirpes heirs.
Conspiracy by lawyers and foreign government officials to circumvent immigration laws for fraudulent purposes.
Intent to defraud owners of real property and real estate.
Illegal transportation of prescription drugs, by interstate and international waters.
Potential kidnapping of a US citizen.
Creation and presentation of fraudulent documents to avoid parental and custodial rights.
Possible religious bias against a Southern Baptist/Christian upbringing for a child who had a GODMOTHER appointed by her mother, who had a "Baptist" minister perform a "committment ceremony". Will the self-appointed father honor this religious affiliation or circumvent it?

WE SHOULD ALL BE TERRIFIED THAT THESE SAME LAWYERS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND JUDGES COULD PUT ALL OF US IN JEOPARDY.

A REVIEW OF ALL THE "LEGAL" RULINGS TO DATE SHOULD REMIND US TO NEVER LEAVE OUR AFFAIRS IN THE HANDS OF LAWYERS OR JUDGES.
